Ratings Disputes and Offence Reporting (Discussion)

One wasn't a 1 vs. 1, the other was posted a year ago. The relevant reports on this thread have been documented. -
can you change your game lobby username?
Hannibal_Barca replied to Lord_Angrim's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Dear user, your concern has been noted. However, we must inform you that our current policy does not allow for such an action. Arguably, players should have the right to change their own nickname. However, this would entail obfuscation of identity which could be harmful in several cases including: rated game challenges, recognition of users of dubious reputation, tracking of player statistics. It is for the above reason that we do not permit nickname modification, please be understanding. It may happen in the future that players will have an unmodifiable and unique account name with a modifiable alias (both visible to the public). Nevertheless this feature will not be added soon and till then we maintain our stance in the matter. Thank you for your patience and understanding. -
The issue was resolved.

Reports can be noted easily in such a fashion. Thus a database already contains such data. -

Appropriate amount, indeed. Replay files can be checked for modifications to it, which may be compared with the actual date of the replay. Other replay characteristics such as the settings can be viewed and the replay judged as authentic. -

You must be really flexible to have your hand reach around like that And yes, I would give everyone negative ratings anyway. For various reasons, all rational and well-founded. Of course -
The icecaps are melting, causing numerous problems such as polar bear migrations and rising sea levels. The snowy peaks of mount Vesuvius give way to volcanic rock yet again and the River Styx resurrects from its dry bed. Penguins and iguanas alike frolic in lukewarm waters as celtic tribals prepare for their annual bath. A truly enchanting map to play on, seeing as it comes in many sizes, colours and flavours.

While the host reported is far from acting in an appropriate manner, administrative authorities have long ago reached a consensus to not moderate non-rated games. This view might be deemed uncaring, unconstructive or... unjust. Nevertheless, the solution is simple: Do not join the offending host, tell your friends or just note it in the lobby anytime you see the player hosting. Spread the word. The user can then either play with bots or reform. Or quit.

I do not know but I'm sure the charming and understanding lobby players would click it out of existence. Then we can go hunting for players abusing the poor thing and get them reported on the Forums maybe? -

Reports properly submitted up to this post have been noted. @Basshunter for the sake of convenience and security, please upload the unprocessed replay file. ( @JamesWright metadata isn't necessary, only commands.txt ) @JamesWright due to a format error the integrity of the game vs. player "zezo" could not be fully verified. The report against the given player was not filed, our apologies for any injustice or inconvenience caused. -

Application "Multiplayer Lobby Moderator".
Hannibal_Barca replied to TheTyler's topic in Applications and Contributions
With a general decline in activity on the part of current moderators has surfaced a clamour for new administrators of the lobby. Numerous times have inappropriate nicknames or impolite behaviour been observed by players, only to have nothing done about the issue due to the lack of available lobby authorities. While this does not mean that we should rush headlong into appointing a new moderator, it must be said that if a suitable candidate appears, it should be considered worthwhile to make use of such zeal. The above user has had a sublimely crystalline behaviour record, seeing as the only time they managed to "trigger" the lobby bot was when mistyping the word "shift" into some variation containing a toxic expression - all this while instructing a newbie in basic game controls. Therefore I would commend this user to the Wildfire Games team as a good candidate for the post of Lobby Moderator. Of course, a trial period may provide considerable insight as to the adequacy of TYLER1. Such a period would prove to be instructive for both sides. I invite colleague @user1 to make deeper inquiry into the candidate's behaviour record, or just a general statement of opinion. -

Just saying the replay summary does show game summary and outcome, and that you need to click on possible users when trying to tag (i.e @use....and click on user1). Otherwise it will just appear as plain text Yes this is a problem -
If the issue has not been resolved yet we apologize for the inconvenience and request another post to make sure the thread is still relevant

In theory, the hosts have absolute power in their games as long as their actions do not induce a shift in ratings in a way favourable to their expectations. However, if one would choose to interpret the following clause in a certain way, even team games could be viewed to fall under moderator jurisdiction. 8. Not undermine the intended gameplay or purposefully gain unfair advantages in multiplayer matches (for example cheating, using exploits or bugs). I am not sure of how to proceed, i will refer this to colleague @user1
