  1. Continue towards Ulysses, it's my proposition
  2. Which name did you choose? I'm curious
  3. My idea was individually upgrade (like in AoM, the only civilization who has bulk upgrade is Ancient Egypt), not bulk upgrade.
  4. Towers could be like in AoM in which you could upgrade wooden towers to watch towers and then to guard tower by using some resources. I think this is cool because you don't have to destroy the previous tower to build the new one, and it's also faster. Per example, Iberians towers are really overpowered compared with the others so I suggest that the 10 men tower should be an upgrade of the age III. I just give my opinion. => => Sorry for this little off topic.
  5. I think it's good idea it would make the army camp useful because it isn't for now.
  6. It's a good idea unless it's not too strong and it can't produce champions (it can in the actual game no? I never ever build army camp because it's useless so I don't remember).
  7. Bad idea. It's too long and you can't do anything else than watching to your economy for at least 10 turns. It would be better if you use it as a "God power" (and it shouldn't be less than 3 minutes nor more than 5 minutes). EDIT: 10 minutes, not 10 turns. I was playing RTW recently
  8. I think range units should be able to be put on melee option when they 're at the contact, otherwise they die like women almost
  9. Here is a list of the Frankish sovereigns, duxes, war leaders and Mayors of the Palace from the III's century to 987 : It's long... ahhhh you have lots of choices. EDIT : By the way the Theu***** can be replaced by Theo****** if you prefer. It would be more correct Theo*****, Theu***** being for me an unknown reason anglicization because I always heard them with Theo. I was a bit Lazy in classifying them but you only want the right?
  10. The most common roots of Frankish names are these (i had some problems with formatting ) A few examples : Bern (Bear) + Hard (Strong) = Bernhard (Strong Bear) which evolved in Bernard Adal (Noble) + Bert (Axe) = Adalbert (Noble Axe) which was a current name in the (mostly early) Middle Ages and evolved to Albert Ger (Spear) + Hard (Strong) = Gerhard (Strong Spear) which evolved in Gerard or Gerrard (like the football player ) Will (Will) + Bert (Axe) = Willibert (Voluntary Axe) which was popular too Sigis (Variant of Sig only used in some names) + Mund (Guardian) = Sigismund (Victorious Guardian)which is still common mostly written in other ways Hilde (Battle) + Gard (Protection) = Hildegard(e) which was a popular female name The name were given like this : The parents first used to give their first root of their name before giving the names for their meanings : So if your father was called Willibert and your mother Berthilde, you would have been called Willibert. If you want a list of Frank names go here, it's in French but you can still read the names : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_de_prénoms_d'origine_germanique And if you want historical great people's name go check the family trees of the Merovingians and the Karlings Your humble servant, Tiber7
  11. I'm making a scenario map of the siege of Agrigentum which ended with the 1st pitched battle of the 1st Punic war. It would fit greatly in a campaign about the 1st Punic war. I will show it to you when it's done.
  12. Yes, but it's because Rome did not care of taking Germany because they didn't care of the resources. They judged there was not enough resources to really make war there. Rome have always had a very large numeric superiority (it's true until the late 3rd century AD). Italy was by far the most populated zone of the Mediterranean. So losing 3 legions was not a problem.
  13. Where do you put Seleucids? They should be in the Levant and Near-East between Macedonia (which is in Asia Minor and Greece) and the Persian empire. They should also have a border with Ptolemaic Egypt in the middle of Judea. I think that, 1st game isn't complete enough to do it, and 2nd you should choose a year for this because there are quite lots of anachronisms and approximations in what you're saying. I still think the idea is good.
  14. Hey guys! I tried to make a mode for my map on fedora 24 using gnome terminal and vim, I did all what should be done and it doesn't work , strange.
  15. 1x all the time. 0.75 when I try to find a build order or try a tactic. I don't like when it's 1.25 and I hate when it's more because it's too fast to play well for me.
  16. 1. From my brother who founded it on google in 2013. 2. I love RTS games and this one is already and will be one of the best. It's open source (it's free!!!) and I can contribute to it. 3. The game should be improved with other play modes. Examples: arcade mode, regicide mode (like in AoE2&3), king of the hill mode(AoE2). 4. I rejoin Lion.Kanzen on that : mercenary camps, advanced diplomacy, etc. It would be cool to have a map or 2 where the resources like stone or iron are mostly guarded by mercenary camps or brigands fortresses like in AoM (I don't remember the name of the map). 5. Read my description
  17. Oh, and the story of Gilgamesh is estimated to be in 2650 BC.
  18. Uruk was the city of Gilgamesh, king of Uruk. Gilgamesh is the hero of the oldest epic poem which has been found. It tells Gilgamesh's quest for immortality. At the end he founds not immortality but wisdom. Even if I don't find any meaning for the alpha 21 in this, it's still a good idea.
  19. I found 2 other names : Unut : It was an Egyptian snake goddess. She came from the fifteenth Upper Egyptian province and was worshipped with Thoth at its capital Hermopolis (in Egyptian: Wenu). Originally, she had the form of a snake. Later she was depicted with a woman's body and a hare's head. She was taken into the cult of Horus and later of Ra. Uneg(or Weneg) : It was a sky and death deity in ancient Egyptian religion, who was said to protect the earth and her inhabitants against the arrival of the "great chaos". Thanks Wikipedia for both descriptions I prefer the other propositions I made and I don't see which meaning can be found with this. Also, because there are few names in "U" I still propose them.
  20. Hi! I'm from Belgium but I've lived 3 years in Italy. Here it's GMT +1/+2(winter/summer). Am I the only one from Belgium except sanderd17 and JC? My nickname Tiber7 relates to the Tiber river, Tiberius the Roman emperor and Tiber Septim the first emperor of Tamriel (7 in French is written "sept").
