Actually it is a good opportunity to implement crowdfunding Some people likes to donate for nothing in return, Some others likes to donate for recognition, While some others proudly support some cause by buying perks... So we don't make people pay to play 0 A.D. It is better to provide a channel that enables them to participate in supporting the development of 0 A.D. with additional perks given as a token of recognition. The game itself is always free.

  7. Cos the island has a small valley, I was wondering if the attackers must land in the beach near the valley and continue to the top of the island? When they must land on certain area, a group of siege weapons can ruin the attacker when they land.

  16. In my opinion, resources such as farmland etc should accessible to all factions. So player A can 'steal' resources in player B's city if not guarded.
  17. Sometimes when I enable mouse trails, the pointer goes missing in several games. Try turn off the mouse trails.

  19. This is interesting. If the map has a "weather", and "terrain type" properties, bad weather can cause attrition to players outside friendly region. Perhaps if the civ can be linked to certain terrain, example roman = terrain A, when roman plays in map other than terrain A, it will cause more attrition.
  20. Alternative combat system... Add a general, like a hero that can heal itself, boosting morale like crazy but can be captured if hitpoints reach zero. After the hitpoints reach zero, it turns into a wagon with cage. The captors can move it and ask for ransom, or army. If ransom paid, or request for army given, the general will appear near its own town center. While the resource or army will appear near captor's town center. Players can free the general by attacking the wagon. The "former" general must be taken into the town centre to become "full-fledged" general once again. I also like many features of the game below, I played it since long time ago when harddrive is still a luxury: It has many intersting features, animated trees, roads, resources, etc.
