Heroes could use already modeled unit types. We just need textures. All mauryan buildings (except military ones and CC exterior) have some plastered parts. I think I have the stupa you're looking for: Jokes aside, I'll focus now on the walls segments/wall tower/gate, which is higher priority, and I'll come back to tweak the stupa with the proposed changes. Thanks for your feedback guys! For now I've commited some details for the fence that I was already working on :

Hello Ndragu! I'm in the process of getting your new ship into the game. The ship it's centered! but a little below the waterplane. Easy fix I'm scaling it like other light warships. I'll post in-game screens soon and mention problems if any Regarding your next task... I've asked paperkat about the status of the merchant ship. He hasn't posted in a while and maybe he has no fee time to finish it. It would be great if he can post his model and if you're ok with it, you could texture it. I think there aren't any more high priority tasks for this alpha release (speaking of modelling). -In the meantime you can try your hand at unit texturing if you're in the mood -If you prefer modelling, you can try some non-priority tasks like a generic african mini-faction. (see last spoiler of this first post http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16220) -Or if you prefer other tasks than texture/model you could make some research about the next official faction: Ptolemies. Finding references, information, sketching, drawing some concepts... -
Mauryans OP? I play SVN in a regular basis (against what I think are good players) and I find it much easier to beat them when they pick mauryans. I tried to play mauryans sometimes and in the 1vs1 it's really hard to obtain a victory. (personal opinion)

Thanks for your kind words I'll ask your questions: 1) (Hellenized) Egypt will be officially the next (and maybe last) civilization we'll include into the game: Ptolemaic Kingdom (which fits 0 A.D. timeframe) 2) There's an official mod called "Rise of the East" that will have at least one asian civ: Chinese. I don't know if they're going to expand on the number of civs. The main game is centered on civs that got in touch with european civs (read romans) 3)Yes there is. You have to change the Map type to "random" instead of "Scenario" There you can change all the map options as well as the civs you want to choose. Scenarios are like preset challenges that we offer to the players. If you're looking for people to engage in multiplayer games, you can drop by IRC channel #0ad, sometimes you'll find people there to play. I hope that helps Can I ask you how did you know about 0 A.D.?

lol Really? I mean, I love to hear this community criticism about my work and it's always constructive and really helps artists to push the quality bar even further. But you have to understand that sometimes such finest detail/accuracy is out of scope, specially for an RTS. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to discourage anyone to keep suggesting/critique. I just don't see the point on the lions.

Nice. I'm just going to ask to fix the interior hull (the texture looks too low-res compared with the outside) and put the shields along the sides of the deck. After that I think it's ready to be zipped and posted -

Bad news, armatures are not only imported improperly, but also empties (prop-points) are not imported correctly. So we'll have to use versions previous to 2.66

Hello Ndragu, Sorry for replying so late. I've updated the warship with your last model and replaced with the texture you provided. I've scaled the ship to fit other's triremes scales. The shadow thing in the sails is fixed It's looking good. Please proceed finishing details with this light warship and let's get it in-game! -
Good news (probably), Blender's collada importer has been improved in Blender version 2.66. Release notes states "Improved import of Armatures". I haven't tested it yet, but it's worth to mention it. http://wiki.blender....es/2.66/Collada

The main purpose of the sheets coloring is to better show the playercolor (and add color variation in the process). I've take a look to the references we have and the only textile patterns I found were stripes. Using different colors for each stall may confuse the purpose of the playercolor to define the owner of the structure.
