  1. As far as editors go, I honestly think AOMTT> AOK by a lot. Though for the limitations of 2D, AoK certainly has a good editor, but there is much more freedom in AOMTT (and as far as I'm concerned, it's also easier to use). Though I'm still certain that 0AD will have the best editor of them all.
  2. Just some seriously fantastic work. I did notice a few minor problems (those that have been mentioned already), but other than that it was amazing. And now I crave more.
  3. Wow, I can't believe I haven't heard of that book. I'll have to check it out as soon as possible - it looks like the EXACT sort of thing I'd like. Obviously we could debate on which civilization has positively affected ours the most for years and years, but maybe this could be used as something strong against the Romans - I'll take this, and maybe a falx. It's still Greek though, not Roman, so the title is misleading.
  4. Mm, so I hate to be annoying - but just when can we expect to see this demo/video/whatchamajig anyway? I imagine you at least have some idea of the release, though I understand if it's taking too much time just to make this. That said, I'd have to say making a Celts vs Hellenes demo would be a particularly good idea, as you'd be able to get feedback first hand from the players - hardcore and casual alike. Of course I imagine this has been discussed before within the company, though I thought it'd be worth a mention anyway. Even just showing samples of the civs would be good enough, frankly.
  5. Achilles, if waiting for 0 A.D. is the centre of your life, then maybe I can understand why you suddenly made that change of thought. However, since I'm sure that it's not, and it's merely a game you're just anticipating and like to check on every now and again, I'd have to say I find your reaction stupid and quite unnecessary - perhaps even morale breaking for the developers. Reconsider.
  6. It would have been nice to see a new screenie to tide us little people over for a while longer. Just a suggestion of course.
  7. Since heroes can go in formation with other units, I would assume Super Units can too. I can't confirm exactly how to micro formations, but I guess it'd be something of standard RTS fare.
  8. I thought it did have heavy requirements.
  9. (quietly worships Christian deity in the midst of revelry, so the praetorians don't notice) One day we'll steal the date of your holiday!
  10. Carthage are already in 0AD, the Phoenecians were a power but not quite to the extent of the 6 other civs, as far as military goes.
  11. I recall reading the same thing saying that it was actually Greek.
  12. That I can understand from an AOE1 point of view too, even though there were often fewer units. I played an offline game of AOE1 the other day for the first time in a while, and the economy in particular always kept me on the edge of my seat, if only for the fact that resources were gathered so quickly and the need to rebuild storage pits. I think that if this featured in AOE3 though, the game would be almost unbearably fast and difficult to master. To me, it does everything else better than AOK, especially regarding civilizations and units.
  13. How can you say the developers put more work into it? It seems to me that there was a very equal amount of interest from the production side in all AOE games, including AOM. Sorry, but I honestly cannot understand why everyone loves AOK so much, I've played the AOE games for years and AOK never seemed as big a step up from AOE1 in comparison to AOM from AOK. AOE3 is vastly underappreciated, when you say it adds nothing graphically, you should really play it on a good graphics card. It adds as much as can possibly be added. Gameplay wise? More work has gone into the home city idea than in any new concept for earlier AOE games. There are literally hundreds of different cards, and considering that, the game is pretty darn well balanced.
  14. But AOM added so much more than just 3D graphics. Play it again. It was the biggest jump, both gameplay and graphics wise, of the series.
  15. Any idea when the next screenshot will be released?
  16. I think you'll find that a majority of people who post on this forum will disagree with you completely.
  17. I saw this yesterday... with my mum. We both absolutely loved it, I think if you know what to expect from a Borat movie, then you won't be quite so shocked when you see two naked men wrestling in a hotel room.
  18. I honestly think AOK had the patchiest looking graphics of all the AOE games, at least I think it was the smallest leap from the last game. The buildings and units are scaled better than they were in AOE1, but it still didn't feel that different.
  19. The Hellenes and Celts are the two civilizations the crew want to be most 'complete' first off, so they (and we) know what to expect. We're starting to get a taste of Romans in new screenshots, and hopefully things will lead to the Persians later. They're the civilization I'm most excited about.
  20. Congrats to both of you, I say this is as good an excuse as any to open a bottle of champagne!
  21. In South America, you'll see otherwise. Even in Spain the Incas are better known and respected than the Aztecs, even though they were both conquered by the Spanish. I'm not very good with Blender, I'm not patient enough. I can do concept art and maybe textures, though.
