  1. The rule is clear enough (break the rules = you're not allowed in the lobby any more), but perhaps we should add some explanations to some of the text as it's intended towards being clear in a legal sense rather than in a way that is easy for everyone to understand. It's not like any of it isn't things people should understand and follow without reading a single word of user agreements etc, if people behave they are following the rules. You may of course disagree with the rules and think that there should be different rules, but that's another thing than saying that the current rules aren't clear enough.

  2. Amazing buildings! Great work Here you can find the ruins of the Seleucid fort in Cilicia, there are the towers and walls remnants with modern reconstruction. I hope it will help: http://www.academia.edu/6025623/The_Ruins_on_Mount_Karasis_in_Cilicia?login=tomaskulla@gmail.com&email_was_taken=true

  3. I think the Seleucid buildings should look with much more Greek influance as it´s now with some local eastern elements. The best example is the AI Khanoum site, the city there was founded by Antiochos I and it was destroyed around 140´s BC, so there should be no later Roman and Parthian influence. The various structures have perfectly Hellenistic elements, some other integrating elements of Persian architecture. Here is a video reconstruction of the city made on French excavations. I hope it will be help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyap-dAjJ6M#t=99

  5. Right, I remember another member of the artist team said that the problem with the old Murus Gallicus was that it could only face in one direction. I really like the current walls (I think they're based on the Kelheim style?). IMO it'd look nicer if it looked more 'neat' like this:

  6. Not exactly scholar, but this fresh reddit ELI5: How are video game AIs programmed? Is it a just a long series of "If Then" statements? Why are some AIs good and others terrible? has a very long list of comments with what players expect from an AI.

  8. Have you considered balancing sword cavalry units? In my testing with Alpha 17, 20 sword cavalry units (with no micro) decisively defeat 30 of any combination of spearmen, skirmishers, and swordsmen (with ideal micro). They also defeat 20 spear cavalry with significant margin. They also defeat 20 of any combination of pikemen, archers, and slingers. They do not defeat 20 pikemen and 10 slingers, but they still have great map maneuverability. They do not properly engage ranged cavalry because of auto-micro but if that's disabled the result would be similar to infantry skirmishers. Sword cavalry units are very cheap: 80 food, 35 wood, and 20 metal. They overwhelmingly defeat swordsmen of similar cost. They have the highest DPS (24.6 hack/second) among non-champion cavalry and infantry units after Babylonian Scythed Chariots (31 pierce/second). It seems nothing in the entire infantry and cavalry roster can properly counter sword cavalry spam. Also a question: my machine doesn't seem capable of building the entire game. Is it possible to test it with only public.zip patched with the updated templates?
