  1. I've found a way to render internal maps on a HTML canvas providing some visual confirmation. Only the passabiltiy map gives some headache. pathfinder.xml defines these PassabilityClasses: unrestricteddefault <MaxWaterDepth>2 <MaxTerrainSlope>1.0ship <MinWaterDepth>1building-land <MaxWaterDepth>0 <MinShoreDistance>1.0 <MaxTerrainSlope>1.0building-shore <MaxShoreDistance>2.0 <MaxTerrainSlope>1.25The API knows these classes + values: //uneval(sharedScript.passabilityClasses);pathfinderObstruction:1, foundationObstruction:2, building-land:4, building-shore:8, default:16, ship:32, unrestricted:64 Here are the classes rendered using the Arcadia 02 map: (the mouseover title shows the mask value) pathfinderObstruction is surely no-go area for everything. What I want is where land/water units can go, so default looks good for land, however slope is not indicated in the map and ship also has area on land indicated. I know I can bitmask what I need, but somehow API and pathfinder.xml do different things. Which one is reliable?

  3. I love how those guys made pottery. If we had like 1/10th of those for the Seleucids, you'd have a new faction. Go on and draw as much as you can. You'll get better, and therefore our models too. I can't guarantee that all will be in game, but if you want to make eyecandy buildings too (for practise) you can I made a repo special for that in github. Once I'm done retexturing the whole civ, I may go doing animations. This because this game lacks lifelike animals. Most of them have meshes, but not animations. I'll make your wall and i'll make a mix of my chinatown gate and your walls

  4. We can make a gate of one wall only, if you prefer. I strongly think we should replace the palisades, I'm almost sure the Chinese didn't use them, plus, a bamboo palisade would be of no use ( if even log palisades are weak, just imagine troops banging aginst thin bamboo). Just like you made a 100% Chinese outpost, distinguished from the default one, I think we sould have a unique "inferior wall" ( not a palisade) made of bricks, to give an even more unique flavor to this civilization, not to mention this kind of wall has always been common in China. I totally agree Millenium got somewhat left behind. I can gladly do Germanic and also Arab buildings for Millenium . I must say that I'm a fan of your work and you've been exceeding yourself with RotE. When Millenium Part II begins, would you join Radagast in the making of the Japanese builds? I'm confident that the builds would come out marvelously in you guys hands Oh, and some reference for the walls and gates.

  6. I mostly play against at least one very hard AI, sometimes against a medium AI because I either forgot to change it or because I want a quick game, and I think having more than one setting where the AI "cheats" (resource bonus) is better than just having one of those cases. I'd oppose an HP buff for the AI.
