It's not necessarily a good thing if it's too successful. If the PC version couldn't make enough money such that they have to shut it down, but a stripped down mobile version can, then all future versions would probably be stripped down mobile versions...1 point

A debuff is actually a good idea. Maybe the debuff could also apply to other heroes in the area making their abilities a little debuffed as well including their Aura-effects?1 point

There's no problem with monetizing it (as I said before). Mods can even be completely closed source. But that does mean it's not possible to use stuff from the public mod (no scripts or no art), because when it's combined, you get in a legally tricky situation.1 point

Usually it's done pretty much as soon as needed (though sometimes it might take a while if someone knows that another big change will come soon, making it unnecessary to create an autobuild and then have to create a new one soon after).1 point
