  1. This is maybe a bit excessive view and this painting is a 1840s representation of Arminius. Early Germans could have an interesting roster but they also have this issue of very few attested protective equipment. At this time the Germans were economically poor, producing very little things from themselves. There is a bit more warriors burials in the East with the Przeworsk culture and a bit more foreign weapons along the Rhine. The Germans seem to offset their lack of equipment with their passion for war, their guerrilla tactics and their skill. Although it was not that much effective against the Roman war machine, this was enough to discourage them from conquering their economically uninteresting and difficult to control territories without urban power centers. Too big cost for little gain.

  2. That's right, I have as well a AMD RYZEN 3 3200G and I have no issues. Today I found another interesting issue with my AMD Ryzen 5 3600 computer: at some point in time the bluetooth mouse has lag, randomly for even less than a second. The system load is very low. It happens randomly, when I do lots of clicks. Tried with another bluetooth mouse for couple of hours, same issue. It also occurs at the same time when the game has troubles with the speed, so I guess that it's a Windows system issue. Will try with a cable mouse later on. As for AMD Ryzen 5 3600 cooling, I use the default one.

  3. The elephant UV mapping has been screwed up ever since the mesh/animation update.

  5. @wowgetoffyourcellphone gonna take a look at it if possible with the before update mesh and adjust the UV's that aren't properly placed have my doubts too but didn't saved the mesh before update, mostly the one you are looking is a downscaled version of the Asian elephant due the lack of the original blend file to avoid lossing the animations already done before. it was kinda tricky to do that but at least we now have the blend file to fix any inconvenient easily and finally have a proper work space for the infantry animations on elephants.

  6. 8GB of RAM should be fine, especially since you are playing with the Low Poly patch. It probably is a graphic related problem if disabling particles solves a lot of the issues though. I suspect the Season switching is unrelated to the visuals and might be memory related since so many units are being promoted into different units at the same time. Once there is an easier way for me to use the Season system in 0AD without having to force so many units to promote at the same time that might help. Unfortunately at the moment the promotion system is the only way to have transforming units in 0AD. btw I really like that sprite of Saria you have as your pfp.

  8. Ok thanks - encouraged by your kind help with this. Will keep all things you have indicated in mind for future builds. Hope you have a great Easter break (if you get one) and stay safe with the current pandemic out there.

  10. This Problem exists also in the multiplayer. I don't have speed-ups, but random massive slow-downs.
