    • This fortress is my favorite. Its so cool.
    • The logic of having cavalry in the back is to allow it to move through the sides. The problem of having it in the front is that you don't want to send your cavalry first into a spearmen shield wall (which is the dominant historical form).   Move formation ("column" in napoleonian warfare) should have cavalry in the front but combat formation ("line") have it in the back. Except for specific formations, of course.

    • You can also just unpack the shared libs form the working icu and wx deb and place them into /usr/lib64/0ad/ (on some distros it might be /usr/lib/0ad) alongside other 0ad only shared libs and where the game should pick them up. Maybe even repack the 0ad deb file to include them.
