Pericles
Well, I'm not really aware of the in-game Hellenes, but from a historic perspective they most appeal to me. Ofcourse the Romans are probably the civilization that people most want to play but it's so cliché.
FirePowa8
Excellent, another aboard the Hellenes ship. And another to join Locky and I's Spartan clan once the game is released.

FirePowa8
No problem, Leonidas... I thought that was obvious!I would offer a position to Mythos, though it seems he'd sooner start up an Athenian clan... we can be rivals.

Silver
Iberians, I want to raid and rush the fun out of my first opponent. I always liked fast moving armies, if I try them in single player and have problems my second choice would be Romans/Greeks. Apomonomenos
I had a question, if Hoplites are only ment for Phalanxes, then how will they be trained? In bunches, or what?
MrBlack103
Individually, though the option to train lots at a time has been considered.

MrBlack103
What do you mean, back in AoK times? There's still a die-hard community out there, you know.
Mythos_Ruler
Yeah, kinda like the die-hard Starcraft community, without the multi-million dollar sponsors.
MrBlack103
Well, not quite on that scale, anyway.
Cassador_Chris
This was a tough call. I'm going with the Celts first though. You don't know how much I missed the Celts from AOEI. It's as if they forgot a whole chapter of human history. But definitely the Carthaginians second. I have my reasons.
MythicRuler
Since I play as the Egyptians in AoM so much I will try out the Persians. They seem interesting. Elephants FTW!

IS_NormanDuck
Hellenes for the first time.Romans for the most other times. It would be fine to manage the phalanx or even hoplites. I know about nothing of the gameplay of 0AD (but what is written here around), but i like the idea to manage an army for wich the right placement and management makes the most of the difference between victory and defeat... more then making 1000 troops asap

Cassador_Chris
They have celts in AoK Yeah, but by the Dark Ages/Medieval Ages, the Celts were already pretty much a spent force. AOK Celts are really the Britanni, Picts, Irish, and other celtic groups whose culture survived on the British Isles and NW France. Not that I didn't appreciate their appearance, but I really did miss out on punishing those invading roman legions with a more classic celtic force. One can only have so much fun kicking British arses outta the Scottish highlands
