Unit Pathing

I have noticed while testing the game out with a group of friends that very large armies of infantry and sometimes cavalry get stuck in woods. is their a way to turn off unit collision so that they may be able to walk freely through forests?

You can hack the game to do that, by modifying the tree files and removing the obstruction (setting it to 0).

Ok, where could said files be found, and would everyone else in the game need to do the same?

In your installation forlder, look at a file called public.zip, there should be all the files you need to edit in there.

I'm not sure that you want to make changes to public.zip though.

@stanislas69 I notice public.zip isn't mentioned in the modding guide, though I understand why you mentioned it.

Avoid walking the forest in groups. All you have to do is simply pick and move 1unit at a time.
