It looks like you're more applying for music lead instead of sound lead (sounds are things like selection sound, destruction sound ...) while music is the background music. We plan to separate those two more, as they don't require the same skills.

We have an active music lead already (Omri Lahav), so you'll have to discuss with him what you can do, or in what ways you can help. I'll point him to this thread.

But it looks like Tim is a bit busy, and doesn't have a lot of time for the project.

Someone of the art team should come to you soon to give you some kind of test. You can read the other thread to see what Tim had to do, and what the comments were.

The ending '_start' means "building selected"

The ending '_done' means "building completed"

We decide to use a royalty free sound for the Elephant Stables sound draft.

If everything goes fine I could ask for field recordings to a contact in Burma. :)

I suspect Royalty free isn't compatible with our stuff. No need to go to Burma, we have very similar sound effects in our source files. Take a look through http://trac.wildfiregames.com/browser/ps/trunk/binaries/data/mods/public/audio

Hi Pureon, thank you! I will take a look to the audio sources listed.

Please note that the sounds I shared are drafts, I'm aware that we will have to adjust a few things after feedback. :)

I know, I'm being too cautious at this stage. We've had texture submissions in the past that included photos of Russell Crowe, so we have to be careful ;)

AFAIK the sounds (.ogg) are placed in 0ad\binaries\data\mods\public\audio and subdirectories including an own .xml there.

Templates are placed in 0ad\binaries\data\mods\public\simulation exmplates and/or subdirectories where the specific audio .xml is set in the section <Sound>.

I'm not very familiar with this stuff but I hope that helps a bit.
