Patricius
You probably have something worked out already, but how about this for the theatre. All friendly units within its radius are more effective, enemy units are either less or they desert to the faction with the theatre. Perhaps a player could select as an option a play for the theatre: Phrynichus's 'Fall of Miletus' might give bonuses against Persians. Thorfinn the Shallow Minded
The general idea for the Theatron structure is to expand the border influence by twenty percent. It has unfortunately, not been implemented yet.

Patricius
Could you consider giving the Romans something on those lines as an arena. Even the most miserable vicus, maybe not the most miserable, had a little arena alongside it. At least give some dummy arena and circus, when you can for scenarios. They are characteristic Roman buildings. There was up to 50 circuses around the empire in the imperial era.
AuroN2
yes but they arent the imperial romans in 0ad, they're the republican romans.
Patricius
The Republican Romans had arenas from the third century BC, and stone theatres from the time of Pompey the Great onwards.
ardvark71
Hi all....I was thinking along the lines of a morale boost as well, such as increased hit points when your soldiers are attacked or more damage inflicted on the enemy when you attack. Regards...
AllenY
Maybe you can train a unit called "Actor" or "Minstrel" or something and you have to garrison them inside? And only when they arr garrisoned is there any effect, and they can work normally outside the theatre but not be as good as fighting or working, etc. Or, you could just have to garrison normal people inside, and they lose stamina (when its implemented) while inside, or get morale, something like that?
