I made fire: Unfortunately these are just static models created to test transparencies... but thought I'd share anyway.

We gain the mentality of small children when given new toys to play with, you should have known better Mythos Beware the dragon Brilliant! I've only just had time to look through all the extra goodies this evening, and there are some very nice additions to the units/objects available. I especially like the look of the Celt buildings, they have visually matured to a stage where the Civ feels like a true adversary to the Greeks, which perhaps it didn't in Alpha I.
-
If we could also still have free placement (no obstructions) of walls as an option in Atlas, that would be nice.
-
What would Celtic ships/boats have looked like? Just being curious...
-
Awesome, my 'Greek fishing boat' got a mention! Thanks Mythos! Downloading now
-
That's exactly why I wanted to open the old dock models - to build some floating dock structures. The new Celt dock is an improvement, nice work! But keep the old one too, they look nice together!
-
If they haven't already been included post me some images of suitable palisades and I'll add it to my list of things to build. I agree it wouldn't be a historical RTS without them!
-
Brilliant! I was hoping old building models would still be available to use as eyecandy in scenarios/screenshots Murus Gallica? I didn't know it was called that! plumo did you use any historical site as a basis for your fortification layout?
-
Very impressive plumo! Great job. I've never really liked the celt walls, but doing it that way they look really good! @buggy123: Keep us updated!
-
@jesus, are you able to work on the Acacia's canopy?
-
Yep you can use that boat, if you think it's useful - it's fairly low-poly and the texture is 256. Edit: Great news - my greek/roman boat is now in Alpha 2!
-
Lol, ok I'm reassured Not a canoe - it's an ancient Greek boat, modelled and textured by myself.
-
Aren't they still working on the exporters/importers for 2.54 beta? Once an updated stable Blender is released the dae import should work again, right?
-
Shame about the old Celt dock - Look forward to seeing the new one though Thanks for the converter info, I should really check the dev forum more! Is there anything Ykkrosh can't do!
-
Small trading settlement Sorry for the slightly rushed screenshots this time - please ignore the vase sticking out from one of the boats! As always, I have a question for the devs – Both the Celt and Hele docks are in pmd 3D format, is there a program that can convert these into dae or a more widely compatible 3D format?
-
Love these - great work guys!

I agree, very nice miniatures!

Good to know Blender's collada export works without too many problems. I can successfully get models into 0AD using Blender 2.5 beta, however the stable version 2.49 doesn't appear to work despite many hours of trying. 2.5 beta's collada files produce one error message in the Atlas Editor that I'm as yet unable to fix. In Blender 2.5b removing all objects (lights, cameras etc.), converting polys to tris (in the mesh menu), and unwrapping the model onto the UV are the main requirements. Haven't tried animations yet, it'll be interesting to see if I can get my walking assault bot into 0AD.
-
@Jeru: I'll email them over to you. Like before, feel free to distribute under your 0AD license. @Mythos_Ruler: This however is modding: And no copyright is being broken, it's my model and my part-finished texture
-
No modding unfortunately, so far I've only succeeded in turning pine trees into untextured blobs, and completely killed off all Zebras If I told you what object I used it might ruin the image for everyone, but lets just say you'd eat from one

Who knew that the Stone Thrower’s horn had complex mathematical formula governing it’s size! Very interesting historical info Mythos, thanks for sharing! -
Thanks Ykkrosh! Coastal defenses Edit: A few more because this game looks awesome:
