I've been playing computer games for as long as I can remember, ever since I was very young. I'll have to ask my Dad about it tonight, he'll remember more clearly.

For me, it's DSL (from Pacific Bell). I tried cable from our local cable company but I thought it wasen't much of a improvement over DSL, plus it went down often.

Okay... I get it. You can have a database of all your (and allies) units and buildings with their stats and what they're hotkeyed to. Maybe if you click on them, it will take you to that building or unit.

Face it, the Silmarillion has too big of a scope to be able to be transfered to the movie media. No casual person will be willing to sit through a long history lesson and the Purists will find a million things to complain about. I think it should stay as a book or at least, only have a section of the Silmarillion made into a movie. LATER: Well, I couldn't resist downloading Quicktime to see the trailer. And I thought it was cool!!!

To a small extent, AOK used this idea with the houses but it was the only building to do so. I also think all buildings should have various looks to them. To add to the wonder idea, I think that it's better in 0AD/TLA for them to not to be made ingame but are already in scenarios.

You mean in a historical sense? AOK/TC had historical info on the game's civilizations plus background on medieval warfare and events of the time.

Hopefully, I'll get my Dad to install Quicktime on his computer so I can watch the trailer. Either that or I can wait till when I get TTT:EE DVD and find the trailer as an easter egg.

I believe I was trying to look up any info on The Last Alliance (in LOTR) when I found the link to WFG's TLA. Either that or I was broswing the AOKHeaven Fourms looking for LOTR Mods when I found my way over here. So does anyone here old or new have a better memory than I and remembers how they stumbled here?

For natural eyecandy, why not some marsh plants (for shallow, fordable water) as well as mud? They works well with rain and lightning. As for Special Units, how about Greek/Roman mythological characters such as Zeus/Jupiter, Posidon/Neptune, and Ares/Mars (for campaigns involving the Greek/Roman Mythology)? Any more ideas please, for I am weary of making them up for now.

Good luck Acumen on your 4th attempt at getting a driver's licence. I've heard horror stories of similar teens who had to take that evil DMV tests numerous times.

I know your pain, I don't really want to drive myself. But my Mom worries that she can't keep sneaking out of work so she can drop me off from school any longer. But I guess it's time to face the evil and grim (not to mention congested) future. Sure will take me alot longer to go to school without being in the carpool lane but I can go to any fast food place when I want to (well... until my parents force me to work for money).

No good effects list is complete without Lightning Bolts (Animated) I say, complete with it's flash. I'm suprised that hasen't been suggested yet.

You've got that right DA. I thought up of another way to spend your money. Maybe if you have a very large amount of money, you can buy yourself a position as a beta tester for any of WFG's games. This should be reserved though when a game is about 90% complete but spots can be reserved though.

I thought up of this poll since for the next 4 Saturdays, I go to a Teen Driving Academy to learn how to drive. I went there last Saturday and the instructor talked about the causes of accidents and drunk driving plus showed videos about those subjects (one or two were very disturbing). I'd like to know who here can drive or not and you're free to talk about your driving + training experiences as well.

I agree with that. I think more people will respond to a poll seeing that it's easier than manually typing up a response.

I agree with most of you here that school should be a bigger priority than anything else. If I do fun stuff (like posting here) first, I find it very hard to get to work on my homework. Try to do as much work as possible at school during times like study hall and lunchtime so you have less to do at home and can pursure other activities like sports or designing freeware RTS's like TLA and 0AD. And if you have a long-term project to do, I'd advise that you set aside at least 30 to 60 minutes each day for it so you don't panic at the last minute.

I wouldn't be so trusting of Hollywood if I were you. Remember, they are famous for taking factual events out of context and messing around with it. <_<
