  1. we've got 1 cat, 5 degus and 2 horses ... so in a few years i'll start a farm
  2. whereas i haven't looked at the site yet i can only say that i grew up on the "old" trilogy of Star Wars and watched them religiously the new prequel trilogy has left me at a sense of loss - since i personally feel they emphasize too much on effects and too less on storytelling. but all in all they are great movies ... and without Star Wars there would not be any LotR-movies just think about that. to cut the banter short: LotR Books -> LotR Movies = Old Star Wars Movies -> New Star Wars Movies
  3. yeah! happy bday ... whereever you may roam
  4. thanks again guys! after three days of consecutive celebrations i can finally rest today (at work)
  5. thanks guys! so far my two and a half birthday parties have been a blast - i'm currently chilling out with a cold Water next to me! it's been simply too much beer, wine and liquor in the last 36 hours the first party has been at the horse ranch (where our two horses are) and this one got a bit raunchy (and it lasted till 4am). then we got up this morning at 10am - all fresh and dandy - to only be greeted by the 0.5 party called breakfast *hic* at 14:00 i was invited to yet another bbq-party which lasted till 21:00 ... so now after a nice hot bath i'm recuperating and just cruising by here to thank you for your kind wishes ... and yes ... only 2 years to go till my coming of age - in that spirit ( - from a wee young lad: thank you *bows* and *vanishes*
  6. Away WithOut Leave tssstsss ... and that from our Linguist @topic happy birthday blueamoeba! you're just one day ahead of me! and the same year too! (
  7. hehe - good one! and yes - it's great that the Flames made it to the Finals! Go Flames!
  8. hmmm - tricksy question that is ... when i'm thirsty i prefer water. when watching DVDs in my living room i usually drink Coke (or Water or Icetea or Beer and seldom Wine). When eating in a Ristorante (Restaurant) i prefer Wine over everything else ... so you could say for me it depends on the occasion. Back in the day (during my wild, long-haired student times) i pretty much prefered beer. but one gets older (the hair shorter (and less ) and maybe wiser) and so i settled more on Wine. ( -bernd p.s. we really need a -smiley
  9. Happy (late) birthday! And good luck with those exams ...
  10. i'd say i'm feeling quite similiar to matteo whenever my wife is not around i feel like i've replaced something that is very dear to me. i couldn't imagine my life without her - she's the extension of myself - without her i'm less than myself ... also she gives me the purpose, the will and the motivation to keep me going. and since we're currently planning a little house of our own (we just bought the real estate last week) we are building our future together now. it is strange - but sometimes you are touched by fate and you know you found the "right one". sometimes it takes some attempts (like for me *ahem* different story ) but in the end you'll know. atleast i did -bernd
  11. ah yes - the second bday today! have a good one (
  12. A blonde walks down the street - on a lamppost she sees a paper with "Appartment for Rent" ... Interested she stops and knocks on the lamppost ... "Hellooo! Anybody home?" On the other side of the street a blonde policewoman watches the blonde's antics and decides to go over and find out what she's doing. "What are you doing? And why are you knocking on the lamppost?" The blonde points at the paper. "It says Appartment for Rent - but there's nobody home" The policewoman examines the lamppost ... then says "Impossible, there must be someone home - the lights are on ..."
  13. A Wife is often visited by her lover, while her husband is at work. One day her 8 year old son is hiding in the adjacent closet - just to see what they are up to. Suddenly the husband returns from work unannounced. Terrified the wife hides her lover in the closet as well ... Son: It's dark in here! Man: ... yeah ... Son: I've got a football. Man: Good for you! Son: Do you wanna buy it? Man: No thank you! Son: My dad's outside ... Man: Ok, how much ? Son: 250 bucks! A week later - the same scenario ... Son and the Man in the same closet. Son: It's dark in here! Man: ... yeah ... Son: I've got soccer shoes. Man: (remembers, sighs) ... how much? Son: 500 bucks! The next weekend the father wants to play soccer with his son ... Son: Sorry Dad, i've sold all my soccer gear ... Dad: What? How much ... Son: 750 bucks! Dad: Thats outrageous! You're cheating your friends. Thats many times more than what the stuff was worth! You'll instantly go to church and repent your sins! Father takes his Son to church - puts him into the confessional and shuts the door ... Son: It's dark in here! Priest: Stop that bullsh** !!!
  14. yeah - look at all that cat's hair on me - i'm a fuzzball now
  15. hmmm - we could send him a new keyboard - because he's certainly worn down his current one in this posting spree or we hire him a secretary so he can dictate his posts in the future but i'd make him a special avatar - apart from the GotM - maybe a special mention in the WFG Crier and a Place in the Hall-of-Fame? (first sane forumer to reach 5000 posts) ( -bernd
  16. @Matteo: LOL - we've got a similiar problem - but not with our bed but with the living room couch - our cat kindly allows us to use it from time to time @topic yeah - same situation as matteo - woke up next to my wifey - so i voted for the gf-bed ... the only thing that is unfair - i usually have a light sleep in the morning hours so i'm by default the chosen one to start preparing breakfast (only weekdays though) - so my wifey can linger some precious minutes longer in bed *sigh* suilad -bernd
  17. yes yes - where do i sign in for the "PCC" i'm another one of those ... hey ... i'll start the sub-section in the PCC ... the PCCWK - Proud Couples Club With Kids ( -Bernd
  18. welcome Bojan! (somebody fix him his blue dress - timbo ? adam ? anyone?) suilad -bernd
  19. the biggest animal i ever caught was a horse (at the stables where our own horses reside) that had a slight panic attack and started to bolt down the street - i caught it by its reigns - was dragged along some distance until i was able to stop it and calm it before i could return it to its owner ...
  20. me too - happy bday mellon nîn! and check the other thread: http://forums.wildfiregames.com/tla/index....p?showtopic=465 ( -bernd
  21. @Tim originally i had a seperate webpage in mind - not a forum by itself ( a webpage more like the wall in an office where all the past "Employees of the Month" frames are collected. for WFG it might have both categories: GotM and MotM on two different pages ... nothing too fancy but a neat bit of WFG-history -bernd
  22. @Tim neat idea - you could style it like those framed "resumes" in offices for the "Employee of the Month" - then maybe make make a .jpg/png or whatever and host it on the wfg-server so that the MotM/GotM could link their "resume" in their .sig ... also a hall-of-fame for past MotM/GotM might be nice? -bernd
