The main place i got the idea was the movie Alexander. Just before Hyamastion (I got the jist that was his name)... the gay guy dies Alexander says "I hear they have fine warriors in Italy that's where we'll go next." but that movie is just so bad don't ask me why i kept his italy plan in my head.

I think that it would have been close. Alexander would have won but he wouldn't have the numbers left to attack Rome itself... leaving (\_/) (O.o) (> <)Bunny! to dominate all other forms of life! All hail bunny!

it's a shame basically the rest of the movie was well ill let this smilies describe it. this is probably the best massed battle ive ever seen (the 300 excluded)

Personally: -Phoenicians - yeah yeah i know Carthage was founded by them ;but i think that they would be heaps different and as i read somewhere they where not very strong MILITARILY the only real reason they lasted was a) their navy and their gold they would be weak on land but strong at sea and economically. -Han dynasty - sure they didn't have anything to do with Rome or... well anyone but they would be fun and they would mix the game up. They'd also look really really cool (Asian Pride) -Indians - They would be great especially if you intend to do (or get someone else to do) a Alexander Campaign PS. wasn't Alexander thinking of going into Italy just before he died. or was that just Alexander ( movie)

There will be land transports (other than the elephants of the persians and ?carthaginias?)... if so what will they be?

So like R:TW where if you have 10000 pop you are in major city and can get good soldiers and bigger buildings. and if you have 10 pop you are a village and can only get weak units and small buildings

If you're going to do an order of knights do Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta (hospitallers) or the Knights Templar. Those two are probably the most well known knights.

I was reading this and eyecandy is mad. ALL games should have some. But reading through i saw somebodies list of animals. My rant is why would something that isn't there naturally be there at all ie. Why would you have Kangaroos that live in Australia in Europe and Asia Minor? Simple, you shouldn't And Golthos said "Attacking Buildings: It annoys me to no end to see soldiers with swords attacking buildings as if they were people. I think an animation should be made showing soldiers attacking buildings in different ways. A soldier with a sword or spear can come up to a building and set it on fire or they can throw torches on to buildings from as far as their normal attack range. If fire is not an option non-missile troops can come up to a building and use rope to tug at buildings until they are pulled down. When it comes to showing an attack against fortifications units can appear they are undermining them to knock them down. Archers and the like can use flaming arrows to burn down house and flammable structures." end quote. In Aoe 3 they worked in soldiers (Musketeers, Skirmishers, Cavalry) throwing fire at buildings and Archers firing flaming arrows and it looks so much better than a dumb soldier swinging a sword at a brick wall.

AOM was great. 2-3 years ago. compared its 3d engine to today's, and it looks like effluent, but back in it's day it was probably groundbreaking. AoM was also great because the campaign was mad. The adventures when you didn't have a base... although it was pretty bad when you tried (as I do) to make huge bases with multiple everythings and hundreds of houses.

This (like for honour and glory) seems to have progressed far. It's a good idea, IF it does sound a bit too much like AoE3. Also (again just like in like for honour and glory) I would like to help but don't know how.

This looks like its progressed heaps far since i was last here. I would love to help (brothers on holidays) BUT i do not know how to use blender. I KNEW how to use 3dsmax but that was a year ago. I guess im saying ill help u if u help me.

About the seige units: As far as I know the romans invented Ballistae and also used them. But they were more like super-powerful archers rather than city-capturing-seige-engines.
