I see that upkeep in a historic based game, upkeep is like pop max capacity. If you don't have enough food you can not have a big army. The game was Sparta Ancient wars saga they can mix between Warcraft and Age of Empires gameplay. Not was a good game, very buggy and have poor optimization and look as never was tested enough.

praetorians was something like Total war game, but not too realistic. The units can toggle between run and walk and that consumes stamina. Romans can form testudo and thrown pillum. -

See the Video we talk more deep Warcraft is not great RTS for me. but have good things in Ai and some funny things. and Starcraft i like Abilities. First you see they only can construct with a kind of outpost . That my the idea to have a village to train mercenaries. Next probably idea is the units have less range of sight into a Forest, that useful to ambush.(very like to Total war) And you don't train the siege weapons, in this game you construct the siege in the battle field, and you can abandon them even enemy can your siege weapons and use against you. -

First we can take age of mythology. 0 A.D was started to developing in 2000 and in above that Empire Earth and Age of Mythology are the great franchises of this Style of RTS. What have Age of Mythology Different to Aok? In gameplay only few gameplay. But the most innovative was select your own path choosing a god to worship. The other was How Civ Center or Settlement was building over a Villlage or something like that. The mostly gameplay was fantasy like flying units, powers of gods, epic monsters. -
For now the team are no do translation, but is good see more Latin American like me in the forum. If you can record a song like you can ear in game that could be good.

Thank you Oshorn, you complete my point, is important know how distinguish a faction from mini faction not in game, when a a civilization is proposal to be designed. I believe difference the Faction is very powerful Civilization that construct a complex social economic and military background. Mini faction are more flexible. They are more a village with mixes of town phase. Can use ladder to climb the walls.(special ) units for them. Now I don't know how put them in the map, like a settlement, or like static faction. I'm thinking more like AOE 3, but they can group some medium army to attack when no are allies in the game. And when their settlement is like client kingdom or mercenaries forces controlled by the player. In Ee 2 are mini faction tribal to be allies, other Ai, in AOE 3 are only to control post trading to serve mercenaries, and even Warcraft 3 have units like that in their maps. How gain favor of a Mini faction? InAoE 3 you build a trading post to have this forces. in Empire Earth 2 The expansion pack introduces an option to have native tribes, who are neutral players. You can leave them alone, ally with them, or be at war with them. In other games your Destroy army of a settlement and build a military outpost. Or send military diplomatic. I want to open other post about Diplomacy and Diplomatic units. And other about new non military units and special unit list. -
Even in some entertainment media you see very young soldier, for example in HBO's Rome series. Some legionaries are very young and see very weak and that's why XIII Legion invades Italy and defeat Optimates in Italy. I don't remember the chapter. But may be 2 or 3.

Tower man, build tower, in tutorial you can learn to be faster, then en second Phase build tower and Turrents, and try to keep woman safe. Other tip is put yor woman farmer far of civic center, explore the map with you cavalry. Use tech to gain bonus.

Hahaha a handicap in the map. Very funny to thinking in about regular play. Is very nice but see what say other. I love map handicaps.

How Many civilizations were placed between Numidians and North African civilization and Bantu? Is fair place many of them in the game if you can add because is weird Romans invading Cameroon or Other civ. many people talk about Bactrians, Han Empire, even the Kush, the Bantu can be interesting, but is doesn't Mayans, Aztecs, Quechua, Iroquies, Lakota, Skythians? Japan ? Those are exotic. That my only point against Bantu. And I don't think about be the only one in see that. But time to do mini factions, that I believe is possibly to do. This a contributor project this ideas can die easily. And vote for your idea. Because is mine too. I wanna see all humanity in a game. Sound huge but is fascinating think about that. -

For game balance in AOE, the heavy units that are powerful, like Elephants that you can use are limited to few, the light units or weak can be limited by your resourced and may be pop limit. See AeE 3 : The Asian dynasties to see what I mean and compare with normal game and Native American units that serve as mercenaries. The point to do it ifs for historic and reality, and strategic. -they are for some maps not all. - they are allies only the player can make a diplomatic movement, that mean no are a single way to can allies. And they can betray your faction. - they can be helpful to balance your faction weakness or can destroy your settlement. -they can mix their technology knowledge with your faction(bonus map). - For some faction can be more easy than other make this mini faction as allies, may be the civilization Compatibility. - they can they own Ai less economic and more aggressive. Obviously the Carthaginian and Greek mercenaries can be superior to units of a mini faction. Many of user can disappoint for have the old gameplay like Aok. But can be alternative. And I vote for this idea because is one a few gameplay that a was enjoy in a RTS and is complete compatible with this style. -

Not, trading post is a building in Aoe3 to reclute mercenaries from a tribal village. You must capture the village or settlement to train these units. -

Yeah is correlation sometimes because the people enter to read what's is new, and what happens in 0 AD. Happens with my fan page in Facebook.
