  1. Diggin the DVD cover. We might release an "official" DVD cover for those who want to burn the game to DVD. In fact, seeing your effort has solidified the idea in my mind.
  2. I think units just automatically moving from wall segment to wall segment to repair them should, well, be automatic. Doesn't seem to me to be something that should be unlocked. Should just happen from the beginning of the game.
  3. Healing currently works when you garrison units inside a temple. So, until Alpha 10, that would be your best option.
  4. Not a bad idea at all. Good to start something like this once walls are implemented. Also, should probably go ahead and regularize the names of the official AI bots.
  5. Nice. So, Aurelian era then and the 'Crisis of the 3rd Century'?
  6. Yep! Just a snapshot, with all the entities and actors where they're supposed to be at the moment of saving. That way, let's say you make a particularly impressive city in a skirmish, you can save the game and be able to open it up in Atlas later to admire it. You don't have to lose it forever when the match is played out.
  7. That video deserves 100 million views. So much musical talent on display. Truly a performance that will be remembered for a long long time.
  8. LOL, the ultimate. EDIT: I just thought of a feature. It would be cool to be able to pause a single player custom map, then export it as its own custom map to be open-able in Atlas. Or maybe to just be able to open saved games in Atlas.
  9. @13:41 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa27mXb1uJw Anyone translate?
  10. Great update. Added to Moddb. I can't wait to play with specular maps when that feature is mature. Helmets, shields, armour, skin, roof tiles, and even horse hair will look nice if done right.
  11. He's just a prop. He's always been there.
  12. You'll be able to use these new Celt walls soon.
  13. Hey, not bad. I like the dock you made for the Carthaginian trireme and the wooden elephant pen.
  14. re: http://imgur.com/ It has great album options, is easy to use, and has fewer ads and faster load times (than Imageshack). It also has drag-n-drop picture uploading.
  15. I recommend www.imgur.com myself. Fewer ads. Easier to use.
  16. In our time period Egypt was controlled by Persia, then Macedonians/Greeks, then Romans. So, basically the Egyptians in a mod like this would have to be circa 1500 B.C. Chariots, bowmen, kopesh swords.
  17. Not sure what kind of lag you are experiencing with the editor. Perhaps post your specs and other information. About point number 2, yeah, that's bothered me more than a few times as well. Unfortunately, it's just not a high priority thing to fix. :/
  18. Right, but the moenia are city walls. The siege walls, which aren't city walls, are called murus. It works.
  19. 700 is good. What knocked it down by 500? Removing his fingers and head?
  20. A fully propped dude currently in the game goes up to 1200 tris. If we go a couple hundred above that with any new body meshes (+props), we wouldn't have any problems.
  21. I'd actually like to hear gusts and wisps of wind start to overtake all the other sounds when you zoom all the way out. That would be great (especially for Strategic Campaigns where you are zoomed way far out). It doesn't have to be 100% accurate from a 3D "sound simulation" point of view, but should feel "authentic." There's a difference I think between an authentic experience and an accurate experience. For a first person shooter, you'd probably want to err on the side of accuracy. But for an RTS, something authentic with a good feel for gameplay considerations, colored with good aesthetics, is the way to go.
