  4. And if you want a 3D character try MakeHuman an other Open source project they are just releasing their Alpha 8 it creates a high poly mesh but there are a couple of low poly proxies for game engine use,it's written in Python and works very well with Blender. Enjoy the Choice

  5. I am playing with an idea in my head about what if we increase the resources required to purchase technologies at an expensive price? For example: In order to purchase the woodchopping technology, the player must have 1000 metal. If the technologies are bumped up to an expensive price, players are limited to what they can purchase. If the players are limited to what they can purchase, gameplay becomes more diverse in play-style. Of course players that harvest more resources have more freedom to purchase improved technology that would make the difference in this game. My point is that I think technology is too easy to buy, and it is more of a "timing" thing rather than something a player has to understand how their gameplay will be greatly affected by the purchase of the technology. I mean "timing" as in the order of actions a player takes to get ahead in the race of building your city and army. Woodcutting is hardly thought about when purchased because every player is going to have either that tech or the wheelbarrow. If technology is more expensive to purchase in the game, the more likely players will not have the same order of technology purchased making the game more interesting and diverse in playstyle.

  6. To be perfectly honest there were some issues before the fundraiser even finished. We are still trying to use the code he wrote before the big fundraiser (we paid him with funds from previous smaller fundraisers). One issue we had (of a couple) was that he tended to put too many changes in a single patch. His code from that work was all tied up in one massive patch, so extracting anything useful has been a challenge. We cannot just apply the entire patch because it introduces some major regressions. By the end of the fundraiser, both he and we were frustrated, and we both decided it was best for him to take the other job offer he had. We haven't decided how to use the current funds in light of these difficulties. We don't want to end up in a similar situation as before. We should have some news on the fundraiser perks soon.

  7. Yeah, very well said. I'm not used to the game yet, so I'm not translating specific stuff at the moment. I began with the more general part and as I get more into the game, I'll be able to translate the specific part better. Thanks for the advice.
