Yes, it can be packed into a mod. If you want and think it's worth it, I can open a PR on the community mod as well once the patch is ready.

Looking at the pro battles, melee infantry is not used, in most armies are missile cavalry and missile infantry and melee cavalry, not melee infantry. It's like it's useless.
