update gist

dos anybody know how i could update a gist?

i tried using doing it in visual studio code.

i want update this gist: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/sl5net/5b27c385855e3867646989083512989d/raw/8e79c14cc8127c3c7edb55dd84670db2cd9b5d68/local.cfg

i tried login in github.

it sends me to a page like so:

... that dosent works. so i looked the manual instructions that also dosent work:

1. Copy the token.
2. Switch back to VS code.
3. Click Signing in to github.com... in the status bar.
4. Paste the token and hit enter.

 

there is no `Signing in to github.com`

ah now i see whey i don't see it. i see at yours but not in mine:

i find it by searching the config full text search.

if i use it jumps me to the same page and and and same problems again.

so the number 4 is the problem.

now i see the gist inside VS code.

this tab was empty before. i don't know whey. maybe something was loading slow. i wondering.

 

but upload updates produced error:

ah gitHub offers no option to edit a gist

looks then not as a solution using gists. for such a little singe file creating a repo sounds to crazy for me

Gists are repositories. Clone it, make your changes and push to remote. I recall there being a web interface too.
