Curufinwe
(I was bored yesterday and I thought that I may surf on 0 A.D. 's website ... I then opened my 3D Studio Max R6 and started modelling an Airbus plane A300-600ST ...then, I thought it'd be fun to model some of 0 A.D. models ... the Persians inspired me and eventually, here what I came to ...a cute little Persian village ... I think I made 8 or 9 buildings all in all ... hope you like it ... and if somebody would like to texture them, I would love to ... in order to have a "real" village
Centurion_13
Yeah they loook great. I might be interested in skinning them once I finish my current work.

Wijitmaker
Nice work! Do you think the buildings are reflective of the Persians? I think Mythos did a fine job with the concepts
Curufinwe
(I think they do reflect the Persian way of life ... they look like modern Casbah in North Africa, which is perfect ... thanks by the way
Mythos_Ruler
Thats a real fine job you did there Curu! How many polys for each? BTW - the "tent" on top of the houses on the bottom right will probably be attachments. BTW - you should try your hand at modeling the Civ Centre. Curufinwe
(Sure I will try the Civ Centre ... well, the poly count is rather low ...lemme check right now..............................House 1 - 202 polysHouse 2 - 260 polysHouse 3 - 150 polysHealth Centre - 676 polysResource Centre - 610 polysTower - 356 polysFarm Stead - 264 polysand the Greek Stone Tower is 394 polys.Anyway, I am glad you liked it and I will surely make highpoly versions of those. Argalius
Well done Curu, I really like the one in the center, if I remember right it's the Health Center.
Curufinwe
(yes, it is ... and I am doing the Civic Centre at the moment ... 70% done.

Curufinwe
(Well, I have done my Persian Civic Centre and here it comes with shadows and all ... my only concern is that it is over 2000 polys ... Whatever
Argalius
Nice, although it looks a bit grey
Mythos_Ruler
The civ centre looks nice. I'd modify it a bit by making the "market" building in the bottom corner have a 4th set of columns, stretching out the structure towards the "religious" looking building in the left corner. Also, the "top" corner building looks a bit too tall? Also, the boxes and market stalls will be props, so no need to model them. I realize this is just a project for you... so, I'll keep my mouth shut from now on. hehe. Looks fantastic though! Rep+
Centurion_13
its great. goodwork
Curufinwe
(Just for me, yes ... as I did several other ones which I have never shown in here ... out of pure modelling pleasure ... Anyway, I will stop modelling those, and I will try modelling other things which I saw on another website
Aeros
Nice civ center, though the 4 quarters of it are positioned abit wrong, (it's a rectangle rather than a square shape I mean), but that's ok, you don't have any of the tile-set templates that us modellers have for 0AD
Cassius Allanus
That's awesome work I'm just curious to know how big the humanoids will be in relation to the buildings. I hope they are the same size you see in some of the concept drawings, that would make attacking something like the Oppidum (Roman fort) a truely daunting task (at least psychologically), and cities would look much more impressive. Speaking of cities, all this has made me re-install my old copy of Caesar III I like being able to set taxes, hold festivals, etc
Titus Ultor
That game happens to be one of my favorite games in that genre. Even if there aren't that many. Caesar III is like SimCity, but with more killing... and Romans
TrashA
I would be able to texture them. I dont have any of the 0AD textures but I could easily make due with what i have and texture them.
