andy5995
When modding, can some units be designated as air units? By "air units", I mean units that can fly; and fly over water, trees, and other map objects that would normally block land units.
Stan`
Sure look for the plane template or the bird ones
andy5995
Hi @Stan` And those units can be made to do ranged attacks, morph, and do most everything land units can?
Stan`
Ranged attacks yeah. Morph dunno what that is. For the rest you need to try I suppose.

Someone doesn’t know about the other open-source RTS game. 1
andy5995
@Stan`, what @Carltonussaid. And for extra trivia, "morph" is derived from the English word metamorphosis and in French I believe it's "métamorphose".
Loki1950
The deviation is Greek and Latin and has more meanings than just "promotion" though the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly/moth is a promotion Enjoy the Choice 1

They don't seem to respond well to the move command. Initially they'll move right away, but after that, they kind of fly around in circles before moving to a spot that's been selected and don't stay in one place when ordered to. But I'll experiment more; maybe there's something I missed. This test map I made is a 2v5 game on a modified Red Sea skirmish map. P1 and P2 have 5 planes each, and 2 players on the opposing team also have 5 planes each. air_unit_test_01.pmp air_unit_test_01.xml Edited January 26, 2021 by andy5995

Ranyel
Quote I added a new option in A24 to allow them to be stationnary like an helicopter or a spaceships How does that work? I'm trying to get some airborne units working, too, and something like that would be great. Edited February 1, 2022 by Ranyel

Just copy the Vanilla plane template And add <StationaryDistance>10</StationaryDistance> To the unitmotionflyingcomponent.
