DarkAngelBGE
I really liked what I saw, especially Gandalf launching that neat nova at the end. http://www.eagames.com/official/lordofther...bfme_video.html
Nazgul11
Yeah they finaly released something else.
av_nefardec
Looks good from a technical standpoint but I'm wary of the exploitation of the movies these days. I went to the cinema yesterday and I got a coupon for half price off on a "Lord of the Rings Popcorn Tub".It's depressing IMO - I don't think Tolkien meant for his works to be made into popcorn tubs. CodeOptimist
Commercialization
ElfTheHunter
But, think of it this way. If it wasn't for commericalization of his books, you would most likely not know about ME. Thus, maybe the movies may forge a new Adam somewhere, he who find interest in the books and thus tends to like the books more and turns into your views, even if at first he was a movie fan.Of course there's the other 95% of the fans who won't
av_nefardec
The reason I know about the books is because Tolkien himself chose to publish The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, a private work and a private decision.Tolkien did not choose to create Lord of the Rings popcorn tubs. ElfTheHunter
Yea, I know what you mean. But the question is: If Tolkien was so against commericialism, then would be be against TLA. I know, we're at a lesser level and we're more accurate to his work so he might have been ok with what we're doing.
av_nefardec
I don't want to get off topic But I have to say, we're trying to combat commercialization with free thought and independent development.
EKen132
IDK I think it would be pretty cool to have my works turned into popcorn tubs. I'm a pretty big fan of crap like that...jk
Quacker
Not bad, nice to see some footage from BfME. The horses look kinda gay when they run tho.BTW Tim, that's not Gandalf sending out a nova, i'm pretty sure its Sauron being defeated. EKen132
Uh actually, I think it is Gandalf... and if he's gonna shoot fireballs at people the whole time like he's in FF, that's gonna be really annoying. I can't stand that kind of magic. But then again, in the book he used magic on top weathertop when Frodo saw him, and didn't he light up his staff a bunch? Then again (again), everyone gets knocked over when he does that. Quacker
My bad, it is, i watched it again (shoulda done that the first time )In that case, it won't be so great...
ElfTheHunter
The nova isn't mentioned in the books, but lighting, fire, light are all 'spells' Gandalf uses during the 60 ? years of The Hobbit and LotR.
Klaas
Looks nice, but how many Ghz and Ram will you need to play that?
ElfTheHunter
I'm gonna guess 800Mhz-1.2Ghz and 256Mb-512Mb for minimum... But that's just me guessing, not sure why.
ZeZar
I guess more GhZ!
CodeOptimist
I would tend to think you need a powerful graphics card first then comes the CPU power.
ElfTheHunter
Yea, but he only asked processing and ram so I guessed on those.

Brian
Yes, very nice. The game looks really cool. I will have to get it.
King Tutankhamun
I watched it. Graphics are nice. Are they made by the game engine, or were made taking 5 years to look really good(as in some game trailers)?
DarkAngelBGE
Hmm..that would be some interesting approach to get to know that... I think I read somewhere that those are the actual in-game graphics..
