Swellick
When and why did you get into the computer and computer games? For Me:Well I've been playing computer games since I was 3 - how many of you have played Bag Man - he it was great for a 3 year old. I got into computer stuff (outside of games) when I was 13. Why, well because it was interesting (funny how one can never explain why his/her profession intrests them)

DarkAngelBGE
I got a 486 when I was 8. Played some old games like the "Keen" series with it, which started it all out. Atari is what I used a lot either.
Black Op
I've been playing computer games for as long as I can remember, ever since I was very young. I'll have to ask my Dad about it tonight, he'll remember more clearly.
Quacker
About 7 years ago we got our first computer, and I've been repairing computers for about 3 yrs.
Cougar
Has anyone seen the movie "Short Circuit"? Ever since I saw that movie I was interested in computers and that was about 16 years ago. I didn't start programming until I was 15, that was 7 years ago.
MarkT
My aunt worked in the trade (tech support) and we got a hold of one of the early laptops (Toshiba, orange monochrome screen...); shortly thereafter I started programming... that'd be about 11-12 years ago now. Murchad
Oh, I have always liked computers. Someone gave us a C64 we had that awhile. Then got a 486 50mhz (we still use it alot)
Acumen
I've spent most of my (un)natural life behind a screen, starting with the Spectrum 48k (yes, that's memory, not a product number), and later upgraded to the almighty Spectrum 128k. So we're talking Manic Miner, etc, with pixels the size of your fist (but then, I had very small fists back then). As for programming, that started with GW-Basic on our first PC (an XT), but I dabbled a little on the Amiga 500 before that. My father did some programming on the Spectrum, though (educational programs for the kids, mainly).
Klaas
First one was a 486, about 12 years ago. Yep Commander Keen was cool, or Wolfenstein 3D!
