Enrique
Skin wobbling around would be excessive IMO, there needs to be a bone for each part that we want skin wobbly parts and I think there's no need for such detail in a RTS.I've added more weight to the head, animated the mouth, flapping ears (not too much since they don't have inner geometry), and fixed the tail movement. There's some stretching in the lower part of the chest that I couldn't get rid of due to the mesh topology, but it shouldn't be a problem from the game's camera perspective.
scroogie
Wow, considering how large that view is and how small the model will be in the game, thats really impressive, great work.
Micket
Yeah that wonky geometry around the chest area is difficult to model in a way that looks good when animating (while still keeping it lowpoly).
Enrique
Yeah that wonky geometry around the chest area is difficult to model in a way that looks good when animating (while still keeping it lowpoly).I solved a little the issue making a "chest" bone unparented which makes things easier to pose. Here are some more WIPS (I put the link to not saturate all pages with big gifs)http://makeagif.com/i/bFtV-Nhttp://makeagif.com/i/_0FJ0k

Enrique
After several attempts and lots of time wasted in making a decent shaking and tearing animation attack without looking weird/dumb I went with this standard attack animation.http://gifmaker.cc/PlayFrameAnimation.php?folder=2015042720Mm3hy9DxflipT2D7ol1AfL

Would be neat one to have for idle and maybe rare easterr egg animation.

Would be neat one to have for idle and maybe rare easterr egg animation.Hmmm that's quite a lot of work for an idle... my idea for idles was scratching, shaking the head and body (like drying), sitting, laying down, smelling the ground, sporadic hunters pose (lifting one paw).Finishing now one of the two death animations:http://gifmaker.cc/PlayFrameAnimation.php?folder=2015042903FLeV2KsJTqdVXT4VCsR6rG
Enrique
Another death variation. I made two since I thought that dogs may be produced in high numbers and death repetition would be very noticeable. Tried my best at death anims since I didn't want to search for reference material lol.http://gifmaker.cc/PlayFrameAnimation.php?folder=2015042909PvTaP1UwgUqlTWTSGNRAXa
