gameboy
When I started the game, why is Mod download screen, the main screen is not the game menu selection?
zzippy
It's a new feature. Atm it's not a mod downloading screen, it is a mod selection screen. Just select 0ad, hit enable, and start the game on the bottom of screen. Edited August 27, 2014 by zzippy

Jabbakus
Thanks for answering. I have the public.zip file in my mods folder, but i do not have the 0AD mod listed . See screenshot.
niektb
I'm currently looking at an Alpha 16 folder in your screenshot. I think you're in the wrong map. When I run pyrogenesis.exe, did not appear in the main game screen, there is the Modifications settings screen, why will appear this Ge?If you would enable 0ad and press start mods the main menu should show up (although it currently crashes at Windows). Jabbakus
So, debugging, looks like when I start with no arguments, the public mod is not being loaded. I don't think this is the desired behaviour, is it?
zzippy
a16? Afaik you need a17 (svn) ...
Jabbakus
Nevermind the name, had an old folder I reused....
niektb
If you had svn, the public folder wouldn't be zipped.
Jabbakus
Ah I see. Svn would hang and timeout when downloading the public folder so I just copied the .zip from the release. I tried with it zipped as well as unzipped. Same result. Edited August 27, 2014 by Jabbakus
niektb
Then the solution is simple. Every modfolder holds a .json file in which some basic info is listed. The mod manager scans for that file, can't find it (the file wasn't included in A16) and omits the public folder.
