agentx
Yes, you can click that button, but no amount of AI code make it work as expected.

Radagast.
It's not that there is noone working on it. There is a lot of effort put into it. I think if historic_bruno weren't distracted by other issues we had, he would even have something by now (he has already tried multiple approaches and I'm confident he will some day - no matter when - fix these AI saved games). agentx
Don't worry Hepha, this is just an attempt to move load/save game up the priority list. We know, the day the devs stop asking for commands.txt it is done.
sanderd17
Don't worry Hepha, this is just an attempt to move load/save game up the priority list. We know, the day the devs stop asking for commands.txt it is done.A saved game will never replace the commands.txt. A saved game only saves the current state, while commands.txt saves the history of all actions.Otoh, a commands.txt can't replace a saved game either, as replaying the commands.txt to get to the last state takes way too long. You can't have saved games that take 15 minutes to load. And it's easy to make a proof the AI can be saved game compatible, the current state of the AI is a proof of that. We just lack the man-power to implement it. It will cause a lot of code cleanup on the AI side, which is hard when the AIs are constantly changing, without any AI dev caring about saved games.

Emperor Justinian
Saved game support was added to PetraBot in Alpha 18 (see http://play0ad.com/new-release-0-a-d-alpha-18-rhododactylos/). As such, this thread should be unstickied, or else readers will wrongly believe that 0 A.D. still does not support saved games involving AI players.
