[Updated 2022] List of Buttons[Commands] for GUI session

I think can be for focus attack the tower can shoots all arrows a single unit.

I'm not sure if this is wanted.

IMO defensive structures should be quite strong at the beginning of the game (Phase I, not even available as is), decent in mid game (Phase II, more or less as is now) and not getting any stronger afterwards (Phase III, still useful but not withstanding full scale attacks) so the game doesn't wind up in a turret match.

ATM that is done by capping the amount of towers you can build - and I don't like artificial/arbitrary caps.

I'd give more offensive things further upgrades in Phase III (as it is now more or less already) so defensive structures become less strong (compared to the offensive units).

Not being able to focus turret arrows would make them stronger against few units (like in early game) and less powerful against massive amounts of troops - making this reasonable. One could argue that a tower just doesn't have enough windows on one side to allow everyone in to attack the same target (not that true since it still can if only one unit is in range though).

In opposite to formations I can see an improvement of overall gameplay dynamics in this case not allowing focused fire.

Ok I play more Itms, I found your back to the work very useful, even if the button is in unis and not one for civic center, tower and all garrison units.

The button can be works even with unis that don't were visible before you garrison when you select a bunch of units.

I want to try town bell but nobody test it to commit.

But if you can work to protect unit or follow unit can be great.

Is great improvement yor help, thank you.

What is new in the patch:
- You can affect some units to guard other units or buildings. You have to select the guards units, and then either click on the guard button followed by left-click on the unit/buildind to be guarded, or directly by using the "G" hotkey and right-click on the unit/buildind to be guarded.
- when a unit is guarding, it will stay near the unit/building to guard (following it if moving) and attack any unit attacking its guarded entity. We can nonetheless reaffect any guard unit to an other task, it will keep its guard order and come to rescue its guarded entity when attacked.
- to remove the guard order, select the guard units and either click on the remove-guard button or press "G" and right-click on any empty space on screen.

Futhermore, when selecting a guard unit, pressing PageUp will highlight the unit/building it is guarding; And when selecting a guarded unit/building, pressing PageDown will highlight its guards units.

Tests and feedback are of course welcomed.

I was test, today the button don't work with camel raider( level2 and3) but I don't know if is necessary the automatic build to fix it.

Can be adapted to priest, heal to unit when take damage.
Citizen soldiers can work and protect when I set guard CC or other building. If unit is working can be still working unless the unit/ building to have to protect it can be take damage.

Can you be more explicit on how to reproduce your problem with camel raider. I've just tried on egyptian sandbox and it works with camel.

Then when you say "Can be adapted to priest, heal to unit when take damage" it already does that; Is it what you mean ?

ok now i knew it is when you select multiple of them.

The priest can be heal when is guarding a unit and focus in the health of that unit. For example if put a priest guarding a unit like a Hero, the priest can heal that unit and may be follow him.

I don't know if now is necessary have a follow button.

Congratulations this one of features waited for me and other user :).

Ok then I think it has nothing to do with camels: I guess it is because one of your camels is already guarded by another unit (it is not possible for a unit to be at the same time guard and guarded). The guard button should nonetheless be present because of the second camel, but there is a present limitation in the gui code which we should try to fix one day: the buttons are only shown for the first entity in the selection. I think if your change the order of your selection, the guard button should appear.

May be patrol. Or minimaps, nobody works with that.

Ok.

-Attack. Move are already as command but don't have a GUI equivalent, in critic situations like a rush is important.

-The idle button haven't sound

-we need a follow command is different to guarding or protecting because I command a escort order a priest but the priest only heal the only that are focus.

Next to do:

Minimaps button.

Call to the arms( all idle military are selected) in AOE3 this command is a bless. I know we have a very nice system to select idle units one by one with shift.

Can be good idea Add attack move to GUI.

Is think escort( equivalent to guard and protect in AoK) is not enough for some matters may be adding follow , this way don't need guard a single unit or heal a single unit.

Flare is can be possible , I mean is easy? Or show idle flashing can be good before the release.

Add button "show only" it's a single button that you toggle between the next modes for minimap.

Show only military units
Show only civilian units
Show only resources
Turn off terrain


And the other is suggested by DiabloAoe : add military idle.

Show in GUI attack move.( art related)

Add queue double production and infinite to gameplay and GUI.

Add follow command unlike to escort command this not force to protect a single unit. ( useful for healer and other units as support)
