  1. If you want to make endless fish, then do it only like in Age of Empires III. The fact is that whales there were not a separate animal, but a static “deposit” of gold. But squid and ordinary fish were not an endless source of food. Another nuance is that not only fishing boats in the Age of Empires III could fish, but also some military ones. You can, of course, make two types of fish “deposits”, one of which could end, and the other - a large one - slow production and an endless one, for which it makes sense to fight. There is another more complex option - to leave the sources of fish limited, but they will periodically appear in a random place in the water area and their number, in order to avoid frame drops, must be tied to a certain number, different for each map and for different map scales. The second option is to let the fish, after exhaustion, go on cooldown for a few minutes and resume only after some time. The Age of Empires II solved this problem in the form of a separate building, accessible to a fishing boat - fishing nets, which were like a farm, only for water.
  2. I mean the appearance of a small radius, similar to the healing radius of temples. Although you can just make a nationwide buff. It would also be possible to add the ability to make sacrifices on an ally's altar, which would either stack the buffs, or replace one buff with another, or only give half the power. Since I'm not a developer, I have no idea if the game engine will support the altar system. It would just be great if AI were taught to use it: AI builds a temple, then an altar, hires a certain number of priests, hires several animals. Priests and animals are sent to the altar and hired as the altar becomes empty. The Persians, for example, have a sacred fire, which means that the Persian priests or just one priest could stand at the altar and slowly consume the wood. But as for food sacrifices, it is the very process of extracting a sacrifice from an animal that should encourage the player to hire the animal. Of course, you can make a button with an icon of a roasted carcass on a tray of fruits and gold and periodically “buy” a blessing at the altar, but it will look boring. Such formalities are for the boring people...
  3. Do you remember how the depleted farm made a sound in Age of Empires 2? I think that the altar could also "digest" the victim for several minutes and at the end of the process make some kind of reminiscent sound. I think that it would even be possible to create job vacancies, but instead of workers, priests would work on the altar, who are not particularly in demand now. Additionally, the altar could accommodate multiple animals or fruit trays, five at a time, and consume one animal or tray automatically.
  4. This did not stop Todd Howard from creating the TES series and even add slavery. As for India, I have already proposed the sacrifice of plant and precious resources. I think that the developers could draw a brooding carcass lying on the altar for meat victims, and for others use the textures of a tray or large dish filled with fruits, berries and coins or gold. In the end, the function of the altar does not have to be implemented in all nations in the form of a separate altar building, but rather combined with the building of the temples themselves. As far as I know, our gaming India was Buddhist then. Does Buddhism prohibit sacrifice?
  5. After playing several matches, I came to the conclusion that such a useful aspect in Age of Empires III as animal breeding in 0 A.D. I practically never use it. I just forget about it! In this regard, I would like to propose introducing a game mechanic for sacrificing animals (as well as other resources) in order to receive certain temporary game bonuses. I think that sacrificial altars could create an aura around themselves, giving an increase to some parameters of units. I would also like the animals, like in Age of Empires III, to be able to gain weight over time. How do you like this proposal?
  6. I would really like the developers to reconsider the positions of these circles with national symbols, since, for example, here the eagle’s head was bitten off. You could also make them move when you hover your mouse over them. Or arrange it in the form of a bookmark or scroll, or tablet.
  7. It would be great to see female priestesses of Rome, similar to the priestesses of Ategina and Baal-Hammon. But what will they do? Should their presence in the army increase the power to capture buildings? Or will there be a limited number of them like Chinese ministers and, by entering the building, each vestal makes it immune to capture in general? I would like something useful in the late game. For example, a vestal in a garrison could greatly increase the strength of a building against a ram.
  8. I heard that in the Hellenistic states the goddess Tyche was very revered. I wonder if her temples will be encountered and have some kind of modifier in the game?
  9. 0 A.D. less popular because it is less casual. The fact is that in many RTS, such as the entire Age of Empires series, the computer player captures land only within his original “nook”. At 0 A.D. The AI tries to capture the entire map and attack from everywhere. Age of Empires players may not be used to intelligent AI opponents, so I think there needs to be another layer of difficulty where the AI uses its full potential but doesn't build more than two cities. In general, it wouldn’t hurt to add a manually adjustable limit for city centers.
  10. Can I ask the developers of this encyclopedia to make a PDF file with this encyclopedia too and place it in the root directory of the game, as it once was in the disc edition of Age of Empires II?
