IMHO you have a problem with IPv6 addresses.
Try:
ping -4 svn.wildfiregames.com
If it ping work, try:

Hi. The compiler cannot find files: libboost_filesystem.so libboost_system.so libvorbisfile.so libidn.so and libgnutls.so on your system
If they are installed, you can force library search path with this string:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/directory/contain/libraries ./update-workspace.sh
...If not, you need to search and install rpm packages with names boost, libvorbis, etc

Hi. To build the map editor (Atlas) you need wxWidgets header (for example its https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/wxgtk3-dev-light/)
(or set options --disable-atlas if no map editor is required)

Try both variables in cmdline: SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland 0ad and SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 0adProbably this will solve the problem.

Language is another subsystem of the game. They are not related. The game should automatically display symbols corresponding to the layout with which it is launched (via libSDL). Do you have exactly one (German) keyboard layout in your system? What operating system?
