  1. There are certain structures that you can build in Neutral Territory:
    1. Docks (Well, actually it could be built even in your enemy's territory)
    2. Civic Centers
    3. Military Colonies
    4. Roman Encampment (also doesn't respect territory at all)

    5. Structures that I have not listed yet. (Wooden Towers? I haven't checked if Ulysses removed these)

Edit: The Mauryans have Mobile Dropsites (Worker Elephants) so they're they have the really annoying strategy for stealing your resources. Of course, it's a risky, time-wasting tactic.

  2. @Itms It's the default setting.

@GunChleoc I want to know how dbg works. This is what I did:
    1. Run Terminal and put: dbg pyrogenesis
    2. Then typed: run
    Did I do it right?

Here's another thing. I clicked the "Continue" Button on the crash box, and the game runs fine, except that it doesn't seem to save my settings (Can't go fullscreen mode).
I'm trying to find out whether I borked my own system, or am encountering a special-case bug. In any case, I'll help in the backtracking as much as I can.

  3. I haven't had the chance to play it yet since the crash happens when I try open the game. My first install came from the Software ppa. Next, I uninstalled it and tried the deb files. Same result. Now, I'm just lost.

  4. This guy's tutorial series helped me learn the basics by rote.

After that, causative's "Road to Expert" seems to have the best outline. It helped me accelerate from Easy to Hardest Petra (on some maps at least). But I mostly like it by the fact that it teaches "Any-faction Phase I" first before addressing the "Faction-specific" things.

  5. Okay. Checked my history and I think I found out where I'm messing up.

Marian Reforms -> Segmentata's popularity begins to wane -> Caesar's Time -> Rome was official called an Empire.
I was confused because I thought Marius' reign was AFTER Caesar's Imperial time.

Anyway, choosing the Hamata is the safest bet since it never really fall out of use... even at the time when the Segmentata was popular.
