I sent a woman to gather stone. When she has 5/10, I sent her to gather wood... wasting all the stone she gathered. Is that supposed to happen, or will that be patched up?

Now, I'm enjoying the game at Normal Speed. But I watch my replays on slower speeds, and (along with seeing my mistakes) it's like watching movies!
I'm even wondering that it would look like if my hardware can max out the graphics.

Thanks! And I just realized how exploit-y a non-straight-line trading bonus can be.
Please be patient with me on this thread, as I am pouring out all my questions concerning Market mechanics. I'm playing Alpha 20, so we'll be assuming that when a question pops out.

Wait. If I got that right, does that mean I can have my traders cycle through more than 2 markets?

I just realized that I could've just experimented by playing the game, but I'm not on my home computer.
Are the bonuses computed by a "straight line" between the two Markets, or by how far the traders have zig-zagged between them? -
I don't like commenting much about the art style since the developers said themselves that they were trying to not make the game look cartoonish... which by the looks of things I still don't understand.
But on the other hand, after seeing some comments on Empires Apart videos, I'm left to acknowledge that art styles DOES divide the fanbase. They basically fall on two camps: one being the traditional (because it's not broken), the other being modern (because we like it shiny). But there are those who don't mind either even if they have a preference.
I'm more concerned with how Empires Apart is being promoted. I'm seeing it as a threat to 0 A.D.'s exposure and support.

Thanks for the Women-for-Woodcutting tip. It helped me accelerate all the way to beating the Hardest AI (Alpha 20).
Of course, I still don't know how much Petra has improved after that. -
I prefer the UI decision... specifically the map. It's just that I'm more familiar with the map being on the top-right corner.

Though the OP is always subject to change (especially when each Alpha presents big gameplay-changing patches), scouting isn't something I would recommend to beginners... at least not immediately.
Learning how to boom your economy is a better priority.

You might want to explore the Rise of the East mod, but it only goes as far as China in the Han Dynasty.
There are a lot of factors that Japan won't be added in the near future, but for now I'll just state that I think Feudal Japan falls outside of the 500BC - 500AD timeframe: a requirement for Empires Ascendant.

#3 is too much as Farms have been made easier since you almost don't have to oversee them. And besides, Corrals can be a good measure on how you've improved on your micro skills.
But If I were to consider an "automatic sheep dispenser", maybe have it as an upgrade that can be accessed in City Phase or something.

The model is very pretty... TOO pretty. It arguably looks better than the Greek Civic Centers.

To be honest, though, the Art Style looks more like Team Fortress 2 than AgeOnline. And yeah, I also believe that micro-transactions was the biggest reason for the project's demise.

Though I prefer 0 A.D.'s realism approach, I don't really have a problem with their choice of art style since the developers have a target audience that appeals to that.
But if you don't like it, look on the bright side: it maybe just as "successful" as AOEO.
