  1. Oh no. Now I have to learn the ins and outs of another OS. I am pro with Windows XP. I will have to learn to be pro all over again. I don't like the skin as much as the windows XP skin and the quick launch bar on the right would tick me off. I also hate the analog clock with no numbers or lines so that it is nice and difficult to read. This is the 21st century, why are they using analog clocks on computers? What was ever wrong with the newer, easier, faster to read digital clock?

  2. Ok, i had this same problem with Battlefield Vietnam. The problem is usually that the CD copy protection program crashes on the system. I belive pretty much all Safe Disc II security devices in the .exe's on my system crash. I don't know why they crash because they used to not do this. There is one way i got around this. I used cracks. I got cracked versions of the .exe and they worked fine therefore i came to the conclusion it was the stupid safedisc technology. That is what i have been doing ever since. Download a cracked version of CODM here:

Scroll down and check out the entry that says:

Call of Duty v1.4 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE

This one has a crack for version 1.4 of the game for both single and multiplayer versions.

    Good luck.

Also, if anyone has any similar problems with their games, cracks for virtually every game can be found here. Only download them if you have a valid license for the game.

  3. *Update*

I found a few errors here is my final version, i did things like said bien when i mean to say bueno and stuff like that. Here is the final version.

Bienvenido a Thousand Oaks High School.
  4. No errors other than that one thing with hay then. Ok, well you guys had better be right.

So in that case this would be the final correct version.

I need it to have perfect grammer, sentance structure and spelling. If you can make any suggestions to improve my paper feel free to do so, but it is due tomorrow so if anyone can help me before it's due that would be great.

    Thanks

  6. Thanks Mark. That worked real well except i encountered 1 bug. Some of the directory names have spaces in them and therefore that causes the copy command to think that part of the directory name is a parameter. Haven't found any ways around this yet.

    Example

    C:\test\Hello World\

Hello would be interpreted as the directory and World would be interpreted as a parameter for the copy command.

Any ideas, this could include changing the directory names but through DOS.

  7. What i am trying to do to be more specific is this

    There are files in C:\test\asdf\

I need it to copy the files to C:\test\

The problem is that the folder asdf isn't always the same, it can change and there can be multiple folders in which i need to copy files up a directory.

    For example:

    There could be

    C:\test\asdf\

    C:\test\qwerty\

I would need the files of both those folders to copy up into

    C:\test\

The only problem is that i can't figure out how to use a wildcard for a folder.

  8. Ok, so i am making this .bat program and i need it to copy files in subdirectories to the same directory. When i tried this:

    xcopy C:\test\*\*.* C:\test\

I get an error. The problem is the folders in the test directory can change and i need to set a wildcard so that it will copy all the files in those subdirectories up into the C:\test directory. But when i use the * as a folder name wildcard, i get a sytax error. Can anyone help me here?

  9. That is silly. Nobody uses batteries with memory anymore.

For those of you that don't know, batteries with memory remember how much they were depleted when you charge them. So the next time you use them they need to be recharged at the same point that they were at when they were recharged previously reducing the amount of time the battery works and the amount of energy it stores, but like i said, all 21st century batteries are memory free.

  10. Here is a place where we can start a PC Mac war because why not. So which do you prefer and why do you prefer it? I prefer PC because it has way more programs that Mac and it much more compatable since more people use it. Just follow the guidelines when arguing.
