  1. Ok, i have a joke. I don't know if it is any good but here goes.

This lady gets a new computer and she decides to hook it up. She takes it out of the boxes and hooks it up. She goes to turn it on and it doesn't work. So she calls up the computer companies tech support. The technical support first tells her to make sure everthing is plugged in correctly, so she says, "Hold on let me get a flashlight." She gets it and comes back. After a period of time, she determines that everything it correctly plugged in. They then do tests over the phone to determine what is wrong, but they still can't figure out what is wrong. They then open it up to make sure that there is nothing in the computer that appears to be damaged or that meybe preventing it from starting up. Well, after they do all this, they still can't figure out what is wrong. He asks is it plugged in. She looks. She says, "Yes, it is." So far they have been on the phone for about an hour and then the technician asks, "Hey, you said earlier that yo needed a flashlight, say, why exactly did you need a flashlight?" She says, "Well it is kind of dark in here because there is currently a power outage."

    You like? :P

  2. Yes, I have done lots of reasearch on this topic. I have helped many freinds buy computers and such. I have 3 CRT monitors (all flat screen) and 1 LCD monitor. I can tell you that CRT monitors are by far the best. They are not damaged when you touch them and they are very easy to clean. CRT monitors are also very good at displaying graphics, while LCD are only good at displaying text. I have seen the graphics on the LCD and they are horrible compared to that of my other 19 inch CRT monitors(flatscreen). DA, for you i would recomend a LCD monitor becuase only business people use LCD, becuase they never have anything to do with graphics which is ok for them. I would also like to point out that my CRT, in my opinion displays better text than my LCD. So I leave it up to you. I currently have Sony Trinitron 19 inch CRT monitors. I would also like to point out that LCD monitors have a low refreash rate. My LCD has a set refreash rete and it is hard to change. My CRT monitors are very high quality and have a good refreash rate considering their large size. I hope you found this helpful. :P

  3. OK, I installed it on three computers. I have them running it and everything is going fine. I just don't know how it knows that i am part of your team. If anyone could clue me in to how you can tell if i am currently part of the team, that would be great. Thanks. :P

    edit:

Hey, i have had it installed for 24 min and I am already at 9 DPs!!!!!!

I guess three computers can make a difference :P.

Ohhh, wait, i see. You already answered the question about how to do it so that it is for the team. I put wrond email address. :-( Oh well, i will simply reinstall.

    OK, i got it.

  4. Yes, of course. I would be glad to participate in any upcoming events that you may have. :P

Edit: Yes, now i run the programs on my two computers 24/7. I am currently pumping out about 800-900 DPs per week :P.

  5. I got a 131, but personally, i think that your IQ doesn't mean anything. You can't tell or measure a persons wisdom or intelligence. You have to determine intelligence by what a person does, not by some stupid questions that you would never have anything to do with on a daily basis. You could be a complete genius, but enjoy jumping in front of cars because you have no common sense. You could also be a complete genius and never do anything with your intelligence and knowledge, you are simply too lazy to do so. If you don't contribute to society and never do anything because to are too lazy, then i think that you are less intelligent then you think you are. This simply means that you have very poor decision making skills that you are not really very wise. I think that you should use your intelligence to it greatest extent. I would also like to point out that there are nine types of intelligence. Yes, that is right nine. I forget the technical names for them, but they are around the area of social intelligence, book intelligence, artistic intelligence, etc. which you really can't test for using an IQ test. This is why I think that they mean pretty much nothing, except that people tend to use them for snob appeal. :P

  6. Ohhh, i forgot to mention that the universe is there because it was. It has been there because it has been there forever. It is there because it exisits and always has existed, and because the atoms that make up the universe have always been here meaning that it has always been there. It is hard to imagine that there is no beginning to something and that it has forver been there, but try to prove me wrong. For example, you are actually at least 13-14 billion years old since the atoms that you are made of are that old, just think, you are already old when you are born, then maybe something doesn't have to have a beginning, it was just always there. For example if God has always been there, then why couldn't the universe have always been there? Sorry if i offended anyone.

  7. It was the Big Bang you see. The universe was once the size of a football. The football sized universe as you can imagine was EXTREMELY DENSE. Then for some reason, i forget what, IT EXPLODED!!! As it exploded dust and such went everywhere and eventually settled into what are now stars, planets, astroid belts, and galaxies and such. This happened about 13-14 billion years ago and the universe is still expandind to this day. They know this becuase the galaxies are getting farther apart from one another. You can do a simple experiment to see how this works. Take a balloon and then put dots on it with a marker, then blow it up, as you can see the dots are getting farther apart from one another and the universe works in this very same way. Eventually they predict that the universe will stop expanding and then implode on itself starting the cycle once again. That is how it works. It sounds very good to me and there is absolutely no evidence that this is wrong. Therefore this is right until proven wrong, ok :P .

  8. I am Brian, i just joined DA. Yes. I finally took the time to fill out the registration form. I just want to say hello to CheeZy too. I know CheeZy from school and he is within walking distance from my house. :P To introduce myself i just want to say that i like computers, videogames, swimming and other such things. I do all sorts of things on computers, i just don't know any scripting, only HTML. :D I hope to learn though in the future. I like getting free software, having a huge software library(hundreds of programs), and modding things(games in partucular). Ok, and DA, you should switch to the XP theme, i hate windows classic, it distubes me, I hate windows 98 becuase it is on my old computer and it really just tics me off. :P

  9. It is very easy. You subscribe to PC World Magazine and such. You read articles in there regularly and then you will know about the latest and greatest hardware, hardware problems, driver problems and such. Also frequently vist the sites that made your hardware for drivers and other information. You can also ususally submit probelms to them. For example, if one of your games keeps crashing when displaying a specific thing, or the images diplayes are distorted and messed up, you can send an email to the manufacturer of the graphics card (Nvidia and ATI are the big manufacturers) a report on the bug on the display. They will then see if it is a problem with their drivers, then fix them so that it is fixed when you download the next driver release. :P

  10. Like Black Op pointed out, in the U.S. we use A, B, C, D, and F.

90%-100% is an A which counts as a 4 on your GPA(Grade Point Average)

    80%-89% is a B which counts as a 3 on your GPA

    70%-79% is a C which counts as a 2 on your GPA

    60%-69% is a D which counts as a 1 on your GPA

0%-59% is an F which counts as a 0 on your GPA

A C is the lowest passing grade for a class.

Once you have a letter grade for each class, you then add up the GPA score from each class and then find the average by dividing it by the number of classes you did. A GPA of 4.0 means that you have all A's. Based upon your GPA, people determine how well you do in school. There is also a thing called an academic GPA and in addition to just the normal GPA. An academic GPA is all the important major classes (Math, Biology, English, Spanish, etc.), while the overall GPA includes classes like P.E. (Physical Education) and any sports that you may be taking in addition to your academic classes. Your academic GPA is what the universities look at. As for you Tim, to do better in school, do your homework first, then do the other things that you like to do. Also, don't rush through your work, do it as neatly and thoroughly as you can without overdoing it and make sure you have a clear understanding of it for the upcoming test. If you do that, then you will do better, i guarantee it. :P
