it is over-funny ... that is why I really wonder if it is a real article ... are there still people as stupid as that on Good Old Earth? I thought there were sent to the Moon ... with Anti-Rock'n'Roll people from the 50s !!!!!!

There is no such thing as College in France (collège is for students from 11 to 15) ... we call it University ... as easy as that I graduated in Biology and I also graduated in English ... just changed my career my goal in life has always been to become a teacher ... and in France, without a degree, you cannot be a teacher (probably the same in other countries ...). But going to University doesn't mean you have to give up all your other activities or hobbies!

Well, my story is a kind of scenario you may find in a romantic comedy with Meg Ryan or Jennifer Lopez ... I met my wife through postage and email ... I was then invited to see her ... honestly, just to meet a good friend of mine ... (as I did with other people). Yet, when I arrived at the airport, I felt something weird ... Then, we spent two weeks together ... enjoying our time ... but it was soon over and I had to come back home ... 3 months later, I knew I loved her ... I decided to visit her again (10,000 mile trip!) ... a month together was not enough ... Then, we didn't see each other for 2 years, only communicating through email, chat, telephone and letters ... it was really difficult, but the love for one another was too strong ... Eventually, when she graduated, I asked her if she wanted to join me here ... and she accepted! She got here and 4 months later we got married ... We still live happily together ... I really do not regret travelling for more than 24 hours by plane to see her ... on that December 18th, 1999. What a story!

Well, I am a teacher and I can tell you that I see that everyday ... Our school lacks teachers in several fields ... so students do not have French or Maths classes. There is nobody to replace sick teachers or teachers taking a maternity leave ... HOWEVER, there is enough money to spend on a whole brand new computer server, which is totally unnecessary, that costs over €200,000 (US$240,000) ... and I could give you ten similar examples. Anyway, that shows the stupidity and the lack of knowledge of many "decidors" ... I also know that lobbies manage to influence our political leaders' decisions ... anyway ... HUGE debate !

King Tutankhamun Hum ... a little correction is necessary here ... 11ft x 11ft = 121 sq-ft fine ... but 11ft = 3.3 m so, 3.3m x 3.3m = 11 m² 121 sq-ft is not 36 m² ... you just divided by 3 (roughly) ... whereas you have to divide by 9 ... 36 m² means your room is 6m long and 6m wide ! double as what you said ! 36m² = 240 sq-ft (roughly) Sorry to correct, but I think it was necessary here. Same for Natedog 10ft x 9ft = 90sq-ft = 10m² 33m² means your room is 6.6m long (20ft) by 6m wide (18ft), which seems untrue.

AoK ... no doubt. I have both ... and I can tell you that I played AoK a lot more than I play AoM ... AoM is not as inventive as AoK was in its time!

The Menu ... that is definitely needed. What I like as well, is to have a little history of the place ... or of the person ... Like, I went to eat in a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere and it said ont he website that it was an old ham in there before, with only 3 or 4 families ... just to give a little historical background ... I is quite popular now in france. Or how the guy got to be in the business, what he was attracted in ... just to give the customers the feeling that, by knowing a bit more, they will get closer to the place ... and feel nearly at home.

my bedroom is 5 meters long and 4 meters wide ... so that makes it 20 square-meters ... but my computer room is 3.5 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, so that makes it 8.75 sq-meters For our imperial friends, 3 meters roughly equal to 10 feet ... 1 meter is about 40 inches. There you go

Well, mine is rather easy. I read the Silmarillion and I was fascinated by one of its main characters, Feanor. I first took Feanor as a nickname on chats back in 1996 ... but soon, a lot of people started using it (because more and more people chatted) ... and it proved that, little by little, I could not use Feanor as my nickname ... did a bit of research here and there and found out that Feanor's real name was Curufinwë. Even up to now, very few people know Curufinwë ... as a matter of fact, if you check on ICQ, there are very few people with such a nick ... just wanted to make it unique! PS: my wife's nick used to be "xiane" ... but since we got married, she has changed her name into curuxiane ...
