  1. I would prefer a normal web site since I think it comes off as more professional. I have never been to a "forums only" web site that I liked.
  2. I voted no, but I think it depends on the person. Some people will get more violent while other people will not.
  3. Mostly looking forward to Return of the King and Matrix Revolutions. Kill Bill also looks kinda interesting.
  4. Custom rig: AthlonXP 2800+ Barton core Radeon 9800 Pro 128 Meg 1 Gig PC3500 RAM Audigy 2 Platinum 80 Gig hard drive Chaintech 7NJS motherboard (Nforce 2 chipset) Plextor 48/24/48 CD Writer 21" monitor flatscreen (not LCD) Dolby 5.1 surround sound And the best part... optical mouse I spent a lot of money on this one...
  5. lol, this can't be a serious article. Where did you find it? Uh oh, I'm using an AMD processor... How could I be a hacker all this time and not even realize it? I also like how they refer to Quake, a 7-year-old game, as "an online virtual reality used by hackers".
  6. Has anyone seen the movie "Short Circuit"? Ever since I saw that movie I was interested in computers and that was about 16 years ago. I didn't start programming until I was 15, that was 7 years ago.
  7. I failed the written test the first time I took it. That was 6 years ago though... Good luck Acuman! You can do it!
  8. No, I won't say, but next time you could make it a poll so the answers would be anonymous.
  9. You are correct Fire Giant, I'd never heard of the "Z" series before but apparently it was the first programmable machine. It was finished in 1938 and was almost completely mechanical. There are some pictures here if anyone is interested. http://www.epemag.com/zuse/part3a.htm
  10. I know this one, but I won't reveal the answer...
  11. Where did you find that Swellick? Everywhere I've looked claims that the ENIAC, which was finished in 1946, was the first electronic computer. Sorry if I messed things up.
  12. 'AI Division Manager' would be fine.
  13. I mainly use Kazaa to filter the one-hit-wonders from the true artists. If I really like a band I will go buy their album to support them. I never pirate software though.
  14. Alias rules, baby! Easily my favorite show and the only one I watch religously.
  15. The first electrical computer was developed by C) the USA during WWII to perform balistic calculations. Ironically, the ENIAC was finally built after the war had ended.
  16. I would like to have a title... pretty please?
  17. I love it when your strategy works perfectly and it either destroys or cripples the enemy. I'm not talking about dominating the map with a huge army, but rather using smaller groups, strategy and timing to achieve your goals.
  18. I would appreciate it if any future 0 A.D. scripters would throw in their ideas regarding our future scripting language. In order to prompt discussion I have posted a few questions. Feel free to post as often and as much as you want. 1) What scripting languages do you prefer and what do you like about them? What do you dislike about them? 2) What specific features/functions would you like to be available in the 0 A.D. scripting language?
  19. One of the things I really liked about the borders in RoN was that it really felt like you were "expanding your empire" as your borders grew. It felt like you were fighting over the land as the borders move around and that was something that I don't think any other game has accomplished very well. I like the idea of having borders and a having a set "cease fire time" where during the first X minutes of the game any unit that leaves your borders loses health. X should be set at the beginning of a match so if the players want to allow rushing the could simply set it to 0.
