The timeline is purposefully vague so the art team members can do what they want (since I'm attempting to bow out here, but like Michael Corleone trying to leave the Mafia, WFG keeps pulling me back in). However, you must be judicious. Ask yourself, is the market building you designed here actually "better" looking than the existing one? Greek "markets" were basically just open areas with tents, market stalls, shops, etc., located in the center of town. So, in that sense, the existing market is already pretty realistic. -

Should just use 512x512 images with the actual screenshot pushed up into the top left corner of the image. -
The references we have for the Mauryan capitol indicate most of it was made of wood, however, other cities throughout the empire would have used wood and stone for building materials.

Greek Market was already updated... What you linked to was only a sample road map as a guide for future road maps. -
Gates work nicely. Need to change the "convert to gate" button to use the "gate" icon. The "lock" button could still probably use the wheel icon, but it'll need something else for the "unlock" button.

Actually, Eggbird is working on the Civic Centre and it's looking awesome (he prefers to work in relative anonymity). Someone will probably post a work-in-progress screenshot soon. EDIT:

Carthage has a nice sea trading bonus, so on maps with some water you should set up some trading routes to gain Metal and buy mercs. -
Hard to tell with just static screenshots. I mean, I can see the difference in smoothness, but I'd need to see it in action.

It's getting there. Has all the major things we want. I feel like there will need to be more room for game options at 1024x768 in the future, but perhaps "additional game options" can be a popup window or it can arrow over or something. One suggestion would be to put "Match Type" and then "Map Filter" above "Map" because what Maps are available are dependent upon the Match Type and filter. I think best to have a logical hierarchy. -
It wouldn't hurt to make a list of suggestions and then we'll see what can be done and what should (not) be done based on time and gameplay considerations.

Terrain texture blending

I think some are talking about increasing the resolution of the blend textures, correct? Not the actual terrain textures. Most of the terrain textures are 512x512 (older biomes) or 1024x1024 (updated biomes). I don't think the game's terrains need to be any higher res than 1024x1024.
