Bump as in it thickens somewhere around the middle, on both sides.
There you go

Might just be me but I really like this. My only comment would be that the bump on the roof looks a little weird.
Bump ? Like Bump Map ? Because there is none ^^
If you mean the roof is too thick i can change that
-
Something like this perhaps (ugly trackpad drawing)
-
I really liked that too, but I feel like we could have only one or the other, otherwise the stone could become over- dominant
What if i replaced the outside wall by a fence and kept the small wall around the building ?

Let's spice it up, keep the bricks part as geometry like in your last screenshot, make the fenced part on the front instead, make a small rounded window near the top of the higher point of the front, make a little window in both sides and poke out some beams out of the side walls following the slope direction and make them irregular. Then it's a matter of adding some props for the animals to have some place to eat or if you want to make some kind of little wood structure where they're going to have the props to eat to have some shadow, i don't know
I'm sure it's not finished and you planned more things, just speeding things up suggesting things
I wouldn't add windows on the side to avoid it looking too homely, but otherwise I agree with Enrique.

Model looks good. However, I think it's very large compared with the rest of the corrals. I'd follow wraiiti's suggestion making a double central door, and using the space at both sides of the front to put some troughs for the animals and make the whole structure shorter from the front to the back (hope I explained correctly )
Also, please remove the rooftiles texture from the front, it doesn't look good to me. keep it up!
Yes the rooftiles texture dont fit
Yup, was just trying to keep on with the previous model, fixed it

We've decided to get a different approach to the iberian barracks and we'll provide a new concept that reflects better the defensive nature of the Iberian civilization and will follow the layout of the persian and mauryan barracks. I'm sorry you worked hard on this one, but this things happens on the development. The concept will be posted soon.
Okay, no problem.

Awesome models, both look very nice, we can use both as variations. (For some reason I can't see the images from work, don't know where they're hosted but It didn't pass my workplace filter )
Just nitpicking here, the roof hatch texture looks a bit stretched near the top. The round objects look very round (posts, barrel, , I don't know how many faces they have (maybe it's the shader).
Final notes is to make sure that the structure extends under the ground like posts and walls.
When you're happy with the model, export it as .dae or .obj, zip it and post it here in the forums and I'll commit it into the game
Nice work on this one.
Thank you here you are, maybe some optimizations are needed but i think its good

Better ? Wondering what to do with the fence

Here are two variation of the model. The historical one and the other with just the height of the roof fixed. I don't really know what to do with the back part on the last one, that's why its flat.

Sorry about not keeping up with you guys. I bought a new computer that couldn't run 0 A.D. for some weird error, and eventually the graphics card pooped out. I dug out my old computer, and I am resuming the development.
I am not liking the looks of the crenelations, and I could do the ledge some more tweaking to give the edges a look. Here is what I've got so far, and the blue layer is only temporary. This is without a speculation and normals layer.
From here that looks that they are too big. Maybe Adding the elephant model to you workspace would help you

This picture may help with the dimensions. It is from Open-Air Archaeological Museum Liptovska Mara - Havranok, Slovakia. Reconstructed shape of Celtic (La Tène) farmstead from the Upper Iron Age (300-100 B.C.)

According to this I should scale it down a little. Thank you.
That looks really nice.
One thing I am not keen on is the wood plank roof. Firstly it is flat, flat roofs are really bad at keeping water out, making them slope a bit is pretty easy so I would assume people in wet areas wouldn't make them flat. Also the lengths vary a lot, whever I have built something I tend to cut things to be the same length, everyone in the modern world does that so I woud have thought the gauls might have as well (producing wooden planks was a lot of effort back in those times so you wouldn't use them in a quickly thrown together structure you didnt care about).
I was sticking to the model so i didn't really think about it. I could turn them a little down like on the other side and make them uniform. About water since there is space on the planks, maybe that wasn't an issue.
I think the planks need a little more play in them, myself.
perhaps not in length but in thickness, spacing, and lateral rotation
the farmstead is really coming along well, great job!
Okay, I will fix this.

could yout tell me what software you are using for creating your textures ? you do a great job
I'm not using any software ATM for the texture was given by the team. That's a big time saver.
the last
Okay =)

IMO the main thing to fix is the unit lag. If you get rid of that, players will come. Because even if its still in alpha this game is more playable than a lot of finished games. Adding stuff will be good when the base will be fixed.
Now what would be nice would be a resolution changer, because i don't think the minimum specs are this low anymore. So at least that would make it playable for old machines. If it is not in the menu an ini file would be great.
Something that could be good to is to update the art thread which displays all the task needed. I have some 2d artists friends that could help if i could tell them exactly what to do. Moreover i think each faction should have its thread or at least its subforum.
I don't know what you need in terms of programming. I know how to do C and some C++ but i don't see many methods to calculate square roots except the dicotomia method, which a slow loop or a big switch, in which you could also have a possibility of calculation if the value doesn't exist.- 3

BEAUTIFUL!
Thank You ! =)
Probably shorten up the main section a bit.
It all looks very clean to me. Gallic buildings can use a lot more organic shapes. Nothing perfectly straight or round. It will cost more polies, but that's not so bad for a building.
The building itself looks quite big for its footprint though. Can you compare with other farms? I have no idea if it's going the right direction, as I don't know the wanted direction. That's something for the art team.
What about now ? =) Also the wall at the back is rounded not square.

It has the same 2D style but isn't part of the official game. (Perhaps from Steam Workshop?)
Don't know anyway here is what I've got so far :

Hi, it's me again this time for a WIP gaul farmstead according to this reference from AOE if i'm correct :
Also I want to know which hand cart do you prefer ?
Comes from those references ;

Here are some variations of the model, which one do you prefer ?

Please don't take this the wrong way, starting over is much more fun than constantly editing a building that in all likelyhood won't work as well as it could.
maybe sketch out some different variations and show us, so we can spot any problems before you've put time into a model
Well I'm not offended though its hard after working for hours on a model to be asked to get rid of everything

Hi What about now ?
EDIT Variant @LordGood : Do you want something like that ?
According to the request for this building "Iberians barracks structure. Needs new model. Should have a "cubic" feel like the iberians constructed. Should have the same footprint as the other civs barracks.
Prop pints: "garrisoned" and "projectile"
I can't really change the shape.

Nice!, looking better. Try to get rid of the texture stretching in the roof borders. You should make something in the entrance to make it more interesting, maybe an open door showing the interior or something.
Falcata model is here http://svn.wildfiregames.com/public/ps/trunk/binaries/data/mods/public/art/meshes/props/weap_falcata_a.dae
Keep it up!
Thank you
Anything else ?
EDIT : Updated with swords also Improved the cask texture.

Yup found it very funny because it was fitting with Enrique's asking's.
