I never really noticed it until Alpha 5, but GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 is a terrible GFX card - regardless of drivers! I suggest adding it to the auto-detect & deprettify list. :-)

^ This is my strategy - spam Women! They're better at farming, and fairly good for logging. And they don't get worse after gaining experience, unlike the men.

Suggestion: use blob shadows instead of realistic shadows on weaker graphics cards.

Unfortunately, On-board graphics is what most of the people in my social circle have. Perhaps disabling shadows automatically for on-board graphics users is a good idea.

Looks nice enough, grabbed it yesterday. I'm a little shocked that a geographical name was chosen over a deity. Random maps play quite nicely with only minor slowdowns on this 2.7GHZ dual core processor.

Played a random map (Hellenes vs Iberians) on Giant. Experienced occasional freezes and hiccups. Game is unplayable with shadows enabled on default Nvidia card(s) (onboard a 2007 HP Pavilion and a 2010 Compaq desktop).

*facepalm* Oh. Didn't know that. (How couldn't I notice it?)

The PPA is out, which is odd. I do like the more intelligent JuBot - playing with him in Alpha 4 was a little unchallenging. I only wish there was a "civilization" choice when choosing a map.

JuBot started to play defensively after 30 min of getting his butt kicked. I'm more of a fan of AIs that adapt to your style - similar to the AI in Fight Night Round 4.

On Windows, use CamStudio. I use windows solely for recording videos.

What 0AD could really use is a modular, adaptive AI. Basically, it counts the number of times such and such a tactic was used and load a module into it's code that is designed to counter that strategy. It would come in handy, making it harder to beat and more interesting.
