To me this is just sick, though I can see how it can be classified as legal insanity within the definition given in the article... It's still sick though...very sick

That's the kind of stuff I'd love to be able to do, but our physics teacher sucks, so I can't

256 SDRAM (ugh?). Hopefully gonna upgrade sometime this year, but we'll have to see

This is the thread for all of you who are interested in poetry. Feel free to post any of your own works, or pieces that others have written that you enjoy (just remember to include the author ).
For those of you who just enjoy reading poetry, this is also where you should go
-
There seems to be some interest in this, so I'll make a pinned thread that you may all participate in. It's not my cup of tea though, so you'll have to live without me there

All that in one day eh...and people are wondering why the palestinians resort to suicide as a means of attacking their enemies. With a life like that, who would want to live?
Perhaps, but then again, consider what effect that (suicide bombing) has on the israelis. Point being, it's just a terrible bad circle We can complain about one side all we want, or the other just as much, but either way both sides can "justify" their actions through the other party, atleast to themselves.

If you skip the optical stuff I'll take a shot at answering some questions in here too I just don't like working with optical problems...

It's happened. As you can see though, there's noone with a negative rep, so clearly there are more positive than negative remarks

How bout Uri Geller?
I'd chose one of the girls at school or almost any of my friends though. If they get boring or annoying I could just ignore them, and go to plan B, talking to myself

I write something like 55 or 60 wpm when not looking at my hands. Writing blindly though, it's a lot slower since I'm focusing on keeping my eyes shut rather than actually typing...

I hardly ever get any zits, yet I do tons of things you shouldn't do, like drink milk and sodas, eat junkfood (not everyday, but once every week or two) and such...
I guess it's mostly got to do with genetics. The other factors just increase/decrease the effect.

Sounds like a good idea. What are the odds of getting an answer though? 1 in 100? I'll have to give it a shot though. It's at support@microsoft.com, right?

Off the top of my head, the average italian woman has 1.2 kids during her lifetime. I think the equivalent number is a bit higher for americans but still well below 2...
I've really got nothing more to say though, since I don't disagree with anything that he's said really. Atleast nothing worth mentioning...

Do any other countries have such pledges?
None that I know of. US citizens seem to be extremely patriotic though (very non-scientific statistic), so I guess it sorta fits

Tried those now, neither working unfortunately Seems I'll have to live with this, atleast until I reinstall windows

Anyone got any other ideas? It's still starting, and it seems it always starts as I boot up, just that it only logs on when the internet connection is running. Otherwise it'll just keep running in the background...

I'd walk right past the car thinking it was empty. I never look into cars...If there however was this huge sign pointing towards the car with flashing lights, I'd prolly check it out. I've got no idea what I'd do though, that'd be completely dependant on my mood. If I was happy, I'd do the quacker routine, otherwise I'd take some or all depending on how unhappy I am at the time.

I used to have 120 on msn, 300+ on ESO (beat that ), but now it's more like 50 for msn, and I don't even use ESO any more

Slave descendants to sue Lloyd's
in Hall of Intellectuals
Posted
No. From a legal standpoint, I believe it's that simple. You can't have retroactive laws, and I think that would have to be the case here.
From a moral standpoint I'm coming to pretty much the same result, but in a different way. Lloyd's can't be held responsible for all the things slavery brought with it. If he's going to go along that line, then the right thing imo would rather be to make everyone make an effort to put blacks in the same position as white people are today. Paying money to ten won't help. Might also want to ask the question if money makes you heppy, or if it can heal the wounds. I'd say no.
I also have a problem with some of the quotes in the article, one being;
If they're going to sue the ones who did that, why are they going after Lloyd's? Lloyd's just insured the ones who did that...
Um, and once again, how's money going to help that?
Since this isn't part of the discussion, but I still want to mention it, blacks should in some way be helped so that they have the same opportunities as others, which they don't now. That's another discussion though, so let's not have it in here
If you chose not to read all of that, the short answer imo would be no
