  2. @Ayakashi As I said before I am more of a historical accuracy type of person than a RTS balance guy ---- That said the points you raised are all very valid, I did not think it thoroughly when I was drafting the roster in my pursue on historicity. The Song Chinese...well, in term of military capabilities, they are really the weakest among all the China's dynasties (relatively speaking). They had to rely on numerical superiority to win battle, although they did not use 'human wave tactic' per se, instead they opt for massive amount of crossbowmen. They really did get roflstomped a lot too, but I guess getting too accurate wouldn't made for a fun or balanced RTS.

  4. registered for this! this sounds like a good idea. my exams will be done around the end of july - i will read up about markov chains then and we can take a look at it. let's study the random gen code together and see what we can come up with. as to training, we'll see. maybe a half -trained markov is better than a non-trained random gen - and if the maps it makes are good, they can be fed to it in return.

  5. By all means, keep the ideas coming. The talent might read it, think it's a good idea, and implement it.3 Also, you can't annoy someone for posting new ideas every day ON A 152 PAGE LENGTH THREAD. XD by all means, make it a 200 page length thread.
