  1. The folder text is barely visible in the latest screen due to the colors used. It would be also nice to wrap text if it doesn't fit in the cell. (And thus expanding the cell downwards)

  4. Ubuntu 12.10 is out of its official support period now, so it won't get any security updates even for known problems - you really need to upgrade to a newer Ubuntu release. (This page has details of support dates.) Our PPA doesn't have new packages for alpha 16 on 12.10, because nobody should still be using 12.10 now.

  5. "The unique contribution of the Minoan civilization to European architecture is possibly most evident in the great palace structures of the major Minoan centres of Knossos, Phaistos, Malia and Zakros. Perhaps influenced by Egypt and the Near East and evolving through the monumental tombs of the preceding period, these magnificent buildings, constructed from c. 2000 BCE to c. 1500 BCE, were so complex and ahead to such a degree of the architectural standards at that time that, at Knossos at least, they may even have been the original source of the Labyrinth myth, such would have been their effect on the casual visitor." (Mark Cartwright) Another good source http://www.ancient-greece.org/architecture/minoan-archi.html "The word 'labyrinth’ comes from the Greek 'labyrinthos’ and describes any maze-like structure. Etymologically the word is linked to the Minoan 'labrys' for 'double axe', the symbol of the Minoan mother goddess of Crete." (Joshua Mark)

  6. Hi guys, sorry for taking so long to reply, I appreciate you all taking the time to help me. I think I found the solution! I suddenly realized (don't know why I didn't think of it before) that almost all the games I play do have something in common--- I almost always reveal the map. Until now I never gave it a second thought, but I don't like trying to find the AI character so I would reveal the map almost every time I played a game. After it came to mind, I wondered if that might be the common denominator to my problem, so I stopped doing that and tried playing with fog of war only or just black, and since then I haven't had a single recurrence of "Speedy Gonzales game". Perhaps it has something to do with the computer having to show the entire map's movement at once? I don't know anything about programming and not much more about computers in general, but hey, I'm just glad to be able to play a game all the way through! Then again, it could be unrelated to revealing the map, but either way the problem appears to be fixed, so I'm happy.

  8. That's just an example. I could log the map settings JSON from there, so I can use it for decisions too. That's already closely related. There's a simple onRange trigger, where you just fill in a few details, and you get feedback when a unit entered the range you asked. The difference between the two is indeed only in the loading stage. In the game itself, there's no difference between regular triggers and victory conditions.

  9. I can't other than think of units in trees now. It's possible now and I still can't believe it. If we had transition animations then we could have climb animations when changing from moving to garrisoned (and th other way round).

  10. For now, I am putting basically complete PDF civ profiles here, as well as work-in-progress files, until I've figured out where to upload them to on GitHub. Aristeia will tentatively be divided into three 500-year spans, as follows (the listings, inclusions, and classifications are still very much a WIP): FATHERS OF NATIONS (2000-1500 BC) THE OLD KINGDOM EGYPTIANS THE NUBIANS THE AKKADIANS THE SUMERIANS THE HEBREWS THE MAGADHAN INDIANS THE SHANG CHINESE TUMULT OF NATIONS (1500-1000 BC) THE AMU HYKSOS THE THEBAN EGYPTIANS THE MINOAN CRETANS THE HEBREW ISRAELITES THE PHILISTINE SEA PEOPLES THE SIDONIAN CANAANITES THE ANATOLIAN HITTITES THE ZHOU CHINESE ZENITH OF NATIONS (1000-500 BC) MAJOR REGIONAL POWERS THE NEW KINGDOM EGYPTIANS New Kingdom Egypt Civilization Profile.pdf New Kingdom Egypt Civilization Profile.doc THE KUSHITE NUBIANS Kushite Nubian Civilization Profile.doc (work in progress) THE ANATOLIAN HITTITES Hittite Civilization Profile.doc (work in progress) THE NEW EMPIRE ASSYRIANS Neo-Assyrian Civilization Profile 0.4.pdf Neo-Assyrian Civilization Profile 0.4.doc THE CHALDEAN BABYLONIANS LEVANTINE STATES THE PHOENICIAN CANAANITES THE UNITED MONARCHY ISRAELITES United Monarchy Israel Civilization Profile 0.3.pdf United Monarchy Israel Civilization Profile 0.3.doc THE DIVIDED KINGDOM JUDAHITES THE DIVIDED KINGDOM EPHRAIMITES THE ARAM-DAMASCUS SYRIANS AEGEAN & MEDITERRANEAN CIVILIZATIONS THE PHILISTINE SEA PEOPLES THE TARTESSIAN IBERIANS THE TROJAN LYDIANS THE MYCENAEAN GREEKS THE TYRRHENIAN ETRUSCANS
