Setting up a server for multiplayer

Hi there,
I've been enjoying the game a while with some of my friends and wanted to create a server to host our games since the multiple AIs are quite heavy for our pcs.
As a student I have some credit in DigitalOcean and wanted to know if there's a possibilty to host our games (and maybe for other players) there.

I've no experience about setting up a server, if anyone could help me I'll really appreciate it.
I've read https://github.com/0ad/lobby-bots but I got lost with the TLS certificate and I probably made some mistakes before that too.

PS: I already have a domain & a droplet running in digital ocean with dns and domain already set.

using any computer to host a match is pretty straightforward using the game lobby. I don't know if the AI is only ran there though, or rather in all players' computers.

It is which is why you can't rejoin with AIs

The AIs are run on every client, so your method won't relieve you from that stress, unfortunately.
