Indeed Jason's legionary is 1000 times better than that one I rendered because I messed things like the armor in the shoulders, the shield and the balteus (the straps over the skirt), and also the textures, mine are pretty basic :band:

Ah... no worries Sud, at the size your making them there is no way you could tell a difference :band:

I'm not sure if I have all that roman stuff all together anymore. I know I have it all, but its spread out all over the place on different hard drives and cd's. I think Ryan might still have that stuff though?

Well this thing is just a mod for Age of Kings. The real 0ad game started like this mod (in concept) but it developed into a full game, so I am just bringing back the old mod to life, this is the "0ad" AoK mod and it's different from the independent 0ad game

And I will try to get something done for Christmas :band:

@SUD: Okay, thanks for the offer. I'll see what I can do with stag's legionary and perhaps ask you again if I need anything.

@Stuart: Well, just an idea of mine. I will probably never realize it, but due to the fact that I can do rather basic 3d things (like pulling around things and rotating them; just not model anything) and that my computer can turn into an evil render-machine if needed, I thought I'd give it a try :band:

@Jason: Okay, I'll try stags one first. Will tell you if I need anything.

@stag: Thanks, I'll get it at school tomorrow (yeah, I'm paying per traffic) and test around in the afternoon. Can you give me an URL for StuffIt (otherwise I'd search for it) ?

@legio: 0ad is a full game project and its engine is still in the basic development. You can already see some screenshots on the website, but it will surely take a lot longer than Christmas to finish anything play- or testable. Perhaps expect something at Christmas 2004 :D

I need your help. What would you do for the teutonic knight ? :

Option 1: Celt chief. Original idea, but I am having problems with the figure as I dont have all proper items. Also I dont like very much that a celt chief can kick the butt of almost every unit, and it is also very slow.

Option 2: Roman general. Guy with golden muscled armor, golden roman helm with crest, red cloak, shin guards... you know.

Option 3: Spartan hoplite. Guy with greek helm with transverse crest, red cloak, greek armor, spartan hoplon with 'lambda', spear...

Option 4: Suggestion?
