DarkAngelBGE
Yes, I am a cracker freak. I was trying to get me some crackers that are forbidden to under 18s in Germany (no, that is not in violation of the VGs ).Anyways, this thread's purpose is to talk that new years stuff. As an introduction, I have some videos here. In Germany forbidden..seems to be not working tho.http://angelfire.com/folk/darkangelbge/ima...mages/shell.aviOne of the greatest rockets on this planet. Watch that video and get your sound volume very high and wet your pants. http://angelfire.com/folk/darkangelbge/ima...s/s_helios.mpegSome cracker from Hungary. It doesn't seem as loud, because it is launched in a forest. I noticed such a thing in Berlin last year...it got several windows to broke..http://angelfire.com/folk/darkangelbge/images/mega.avi
chichigrande
Yes, firecrackers are very fun, but all about the m-80s and m-100s. Also, motars and flaming tennis balls are very fantastic.
Klaas
None, it's illegal here (because many people got hurt already)Well many people go buy it in The Netherlands, but I'm not sure if this is still possible, seeing what happened at Enschedee a few years ago (building full of fireworks exploded and a big part of the town was turned into a moon landscape). DarkAngelBGE
Yeah I heard about it here, Klaas. That was the reason why almost all good stuff was forbidden here in Germany. Those pictures were terrible.
King Tutankhamun
We aren't allowed to have firecrackers here in Southern California. So we go to Fillmore, but they still only have little ones. We don't really launch a lot on New Years, but on the 4th of July we do.
chichigrande
Ya I know Desmond, Arnold has to change that law.
Black Op
Well, as King Tut said, we Americans reserve our fireworks celebrations until the 4th of July mostly. I wonder what's the day in each country when they use fireworks the most?BTW: I like that 2nd rocket Tim.
DarkAngelBGE
Yeah, itÄs probably the best in the world...super helios, it's is class IV, that means nobody can buy it, only firefighters and pro-fireworker can launch it. I'd burn my house to get one. j/k
Aeros
It's Illegal In California because it's one big desert here. If one fire cracker goes astray the whole state will be on fire, just like a few months ago with the Wild Fires.I used to live in Florida though, and you could buy tons of firecrackers there, even the big ones But I was only 5 at the time, I don't remember much, hehe
av_nefardec
I live in good ol' Ohio where we commonly launch lots of things into the air I live in a pretty secluded area, so if there's a big empty field somewhere around, no one cares if you blow stuff up In fact, me and some of my friends built a little shoulder mounted rocket launcher with an electrical ignition. But that was pretty primitive. Our next little project is to construct a 2.5m or so tall trebuchet - we already built a prototype to study the mechanics, a small trebuchet, less than 35 cm in all dimensions, but it can fire a ping-pong ball sized object 9 meters So I guess I prefer the more mechanical stuff to the explosive stuff. chichigrande
That's cool Av, but for New Years my friends and I are going to build a polish cannon and launch flaming tennis balls at people. Oops, I almost forgot, cant forget about the roman candles
King Tutankhamun
Nice trebuchet. I once made a trebuchet, and it won an award for the fartest distance(golfball over 100 feet).I did have this thing called a 'crackling cactus' that sparkled 6 feet in the air, and then asit burned down 4 capcules exploded out teh dise and shot stuff everywhere. It was so cool for only $2.50.
Aeros
lol, polish cannons are great. I fire potatos with them, it's messier
