Authentication failed error

I'm trying to play multiplayer after registering with the username "DoesntMatterH", and whenever I attempt to login, an error comes up saying that either my password isn't correct or my account doesn't exist. My password is the right one, so I'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas?

If I recall correctly, I've seen someone with a name like this in the lobby. That's a bit fishy considering you get an error whenever you try to log in. How could that be? Perhaps my memory just fails me now.

Perhaps @user1 or @Hannibal_Barca could tell you more about the problem.

I am not aware of any such issues with the login panel.

Please check if you have:

• properly typed your password upon registration
• experienced network issues around the time of your registration
• pressed any modifier key while entering your username/password
• entered your username with the appropriate capitalization

Hey I got the same Issue, I even checked my firewall. It seems like when I create a Multiplayer account the first time I go into the Lobby Browser they show up just to suddenly disconnect me with no way of getting them back. When I leave the Lobby Browser the Authentification Error shows up.
