sphyrth
Someone would comment that you should switch to Developer's Mode, which I don't know how to do. But I guess this is another call to have a "Build Your Empire" game mode or something. No fighting any enemies, just casually build away.

causative
You should be able to make more than 20 houses with no special changes required. Perhaps you mean that you can make more than 20 houses, but they don't increase the population limit? In that case you need a higher population limit in the game settings.

batresko
ok but no cheat can get the population more than 1000 ?!!!!
Skhorn
My guess is that you have Delenda Est mod enabled. Because this stuff "20 houses cap", "1000 max pop", sounds like DE, unless that you were playing the developers version and such changes where included in the last days, but i hardly think so. Deactivate the mod and you won't have those caps Edited June 14, 2017 by Skhorn
Sundiata
Why do you need mods, cheats or developer mode? Playing alpha 20 (vanilla), just putting population cap to unlimited allowed me have populations of up to 2500 units, and I was able to build as many houses as I wanted. I played with a 5 year old macbook pro. Lag became seriously unpleasant, but I reached those populations nonetheless with a less than ideal laptop. Mods like delenda est, overrides the unlimited cap pop for a max of 1000.
